Mark's observations, the penultimate lines of ACT I in the stage play: "The riot continues. The Christmas tree goes up in flames. The snow dances. Oblivious, Mimi and Roger share a small, lovely kiss." This occurs after their love song 'I Should Tell You'.

* Another KoreanSeries, ''Series/PadamPadam'', has the lead character skinny-dipping in a snowstorm with his ladylove, just to see what it feels like.
* In an episode of ''CSINewYork'', a couple arrive in a "winter wonderland" and start kissing. Then an ice castle collapses and they find a corpse.

* In season 3 of ''Series/BuffyTheVampireSlayer'', a providential snowfall prevents Angel from committing suicide-by-sun. He and Buffy then go for a walk in the snow.
** Keep in mind this is ''southern California.'' Y'know, [[CaptainObvious because snow is]] [[DontExplainTheJoke nearly impossible there.]]

* ''TheXFiles'': In a season six Christmas episode, Mulder and Scully start unwrapping their presents to one another, just as the snow starts falling. They live in the Washington-Metropolitan area, where snow doesn't usually fall until mid-January, so it's especially meaningful.

* In Tomoyo's route in the ''VisualNovel/{{CLANNAD}}'' visual novel, Tomoya [[spoiler:breaks up with her [[IWantMyBelovedToBeHappy so that she can focus on her responsibilities]] and become successful]]. After eight months, he walks out of the school one day and sees her standing in the snow in front of him. She tells him that [[spoiler:her responsibilities are concluded]], that she loves him, and that she has been waiting for him for those whole eight months. [[CrowningMomentOfHeartwarming They hug.]]
** Done exactly the same way in the bonus episode of VisualNovel/{{CLANNAD}} called "Another World: Tomoyo".

* Subverted in KatawaShoujo. The game opens with a LoveConfession to the main character, Hisao, by his crush in the falling snow. Unfortunately, the stress of the situation triggers Hisao's cardiac arrythmia - which he didn't even know he had before then - and things veer dangerously close to SnowMeansDeath as he has a heart attack. He spends the next six months in the hospital... and the relationship doesn't last more than six weeks.
** The game starts in June, and most of the routes end by August, so the routes largely avert this. Shizune's route, however, lasts until Hisao graduates, but there are no scenes in the snow.

* Invoked for HoYay value in ''ThePrinceOfTennis''. [[AloofBigBrother Tezuka]] finds [[EyesAlwaysShut Fuji]] once waiting for him outside an hospital, and so as they speak about the upcoming tournaments, snow starts falling down on them, so Fuji [[TogetherUmbrella covers both of them with his red umbrella]] as they go home. Needless to say, the [[YaoiFangirl Tezuka/Fuji fans]] [[ShipTease had a field day]].

SnowedIn and TogetherUmbrella can bring this trope about. A subtrope of EmpathicEnvironment.

* The last episode of ''WelcomeToTheNHK'' combined this trope with SnowMeansDeath - Misaki returns to the town she grew up in to commit suicide, and is saved by Sato, at which point they realise they love each other. Then Sato goes nuts and tries to kill {{God}} [[HeroicSacrifice in a kamikaze attack]]...

** One of the few times we see a of James and Lily Potter, the lead character's parents, they're dancing in the snow.

Western cousin to CherryBlossoms.

* Combined with SnowMeansDeath in ''{{Berserk}}'', twice. Once when Caska tries to dissuade Guts from leaving his pre-Eclipse TrueCompanions, right before the showdown with Griffith (this also marked the moment when she had her LoveEpiphany). The other one post-Eclipse when Guts fights off snow-demons to protect Caska. They also share a CrowningMomentOfHeartwarming in the snow when Guts and Casca depart from Godo's place when [[spoiler: Guts wraps his cape around her and says that he would never leave her behind again.]]
* Happens in FiveCentimetersPerSecond, where Takaki and Akari have their first ([[spoiler:and only]]) kiss on a snowy day under a cherry tree. They then proceed to [[SnowedIn sleep next to each other for a night.]] The rare combination of SnowMeansLove and CherryBlossoms makes for a very romantic scene.

* ''LoveHina'''s Christmas special, in which Naru and Keitaro spend a good deal of time wandering around feeling lonely. As well, it is snowing when Naru finds Keitaro after he ran off in an early episode of the series.

* [[ShipSinking Subverted]] on ''{{Naruto}}'': [[spoiler: Sakura spending half of chapter 469 declaring to Naruto that she loves him and that she loves Sasuke no more, all in a snowfield with the snow falling softly, then on the final panel (and to Sakura's surprise) Naruto rejects her, the text on that panel even lampshades it: "In the falling snow..."]] Justified, since he could tell she was lying.

* ''RanmaOneHalf'': After Akane has a long day of trying to find Ranma for [[ChristmasEpisode Christmas Eve]], she eventually gives up and starts to go back to her house. As it turns out, Ranma had actually been waiting for ''her'' at some spot on the way there because it would, as he puts it, "be embarrasin' at home." He then proceeds to give her presents that she had earlier told him she wanted, which, of course, makes her [[WhenSheSmiles smile]] and [[EmpathicEnvironment it immediately starts snowing for some reason... ]]

* In [[HaruhiSuzumiya The Disappearance Of Haruhi Suzumiya]], snow accompanies a CrowningMomentOfHeartwarming between Kyon and Yuki, in which Kyon declares that should anything happen to her, he'll set out with Haruhi to save her. It's worth nothing that one reading of "Yuki" (雪) means "snow."
* In DetectiveConan, Satou gives her boyfriend Takagi a ''very'' happy kiss in the snow of Hokkaido, right after she helps to rescue [[ButtMonkey the poor guy]] from a cruel DeathTrap that ''almost'' invoked SnowMeansDeath on him. [[CrowningmomentOfFunny Cue to them forgetting]] [[IsThisThingStillOn that their co-workers were watching over them through a camera...]]
* In SwordArtOnline, Kirito and Asuna finally meet in real life and share their first real kiss while it's snowing. ''Almost'' turns into SnowMeansDeath when [[spoiler:Kirito gets attacked by the BigBad on his way to the hospital.]]

* ''ScottPilgrim'': Scott and Ramona are caught out in a sudden snowstorm (it is Toronto, after all) in the middle of deciding to date each other. This also has the convenient side effect of forcing Scott to crash at Ramona's place...
* A rather tragic example from Franchise/{{Batman}}: flashbacks in one comic show a pre-transformation Dr. Victor Fries, starved for love his whole life, finally find happiness with his future wife Nora, and the two share a tender first kiss as snow falls around them. What makes it tragic is the fact that [[{{ForegoneConclusion}} we already know]] that eventually Nora contracts the rare disease that results in her being placed in suspended animation while Victor feverishly works to save her...before he himself is turned into Mr. Freeze. The fact that they share their first kiss while snow falls around them is romantic...but still bitter irony considering the mutation that Victor ends up undergoing later on.

* In Fanfic/WhiteRain, snow was falling when [[spoiler: Itachi (senior) made his proposal to Lucia (to spend their last time together pretending that they were ordinary people who loved each other).]] It is only much later that Lucia realizes that [[spoiler: even then, she may have actually loved Itachi all along.]]
* FanFic/WereGonnaGetThereSoon: Derpy thanks Thunderlane for helping avert a potential disaster when [[LethalChef she]] had to provide snacks for the next Weather Team meeting. She gives him a piece of Maple Candy she saved, shaped like a heart, and Thunderlane gets it enough to kiss her cheek as she looks away bashfully.

* In DowntonAbbey, it is snowing when Matthew proposes to Lady Mary at the end of the Christmas special.

A classic romantic setting is two lovers alone in a gentle snowfall. Bonus points if the first snowflake [[EmpathicEnvironment falls immediately after they get together]]. Almost mandatory in a ChristmasEpisode.
