Ultimately, it is '''you''' who have total control over the player character, you who eventually decide the fates of every character in the game. If you complete the Genocide ending, you are kind of [[HijackedByGanon hijacked by]] The First Child, who turns your own Determination against you to take control away from you... but even then, you have the ability to alter the game's files, which even The First Child can do nothing about.]]

* Augustus Stratton from the manuscript [[ForScience "SCIENCE!"]], a.k.a. [[ForScience "True Science,"]] is the poster child for this trope. And because you, my dear reader, are seeing these words right now, that means you are merely a part of Stratton's mind. Stratton created this trope. He created this website. Why? Because [[PunctuatedForEmphasis only he! Knows! SCIENCE!]], and only he can bend reality!

* All witches in ''VisualNovel/UminekoWhenTheyCry'' have powers that come down to this. The Endless Magic that Beatrice, Eva-Beatrice, Ange, and [[spoiler:Maria]] use is defined as this. In addition, thanks to the SchrodingersCat that the entire island of Rokkenjima has been turned into, the red, blue, and gold truths work this role, especially the blue truth.

** The god-machine (same setting, different 'line') is essentially this power looped into itself and rendered self-sustaining. Reality isn't actually stable in the first place, it's just a steady-state produced by the warping that the god-machine does and the lack of any conscious controller to shift its settings.

*** Similar yet different to Reality Marbles are the Marble Phantasm. These are possessed by nature spirits such as the [[OurVampiresAreDifferent True Ancestors]]. Marble Phantasm manipulates probability so that the user can recreate any kinds of natural phenomenons. To give an example, Arcueid used this ability to create a vacuum space in the atmosphere, but she can't distort floors directly at will (since floors have zero probability of just flinging itself right to your face unless someone throws it).

*** Speaking of Arcueid, she is already considered to be the closest being to become the Crimson Moon's successor, but once she returns to her original self and becomes Archetype Earth, she is stated to be even more powerful than the supposedly omnipotent Shiki.
*** ORT, the (possible) Ultimate One Mercury is an even more incredible, simply by virtue of being able to annihilate Gaia's reality marble by substituting its own and is able to do so ''indefinitely'' despite Gaia's interference, and annihilate the human race faster than anything else in existence. Until the time of Angel Notes, it is explicitly the strongest being in the franchise.

** General:
*** If someone is connected with [[AkashicRecords Akasha, the Root Of Creation]] through some unexplained means, they'll gain True Magic, an art that allows one to manipulate different domains of reality. It's divided into 5 domains, but only the First Magic ([[ThePowerOfCreation the ability to deny]] [[PowerOfTheVoid nothingness]]), the Second Magic ([[SpaceMaster the ability to manipulate]] {{Alternate Universe}}s), the Third Magic ([[SoulPower the ability to materialize and manipulate souls]]) and the Fifth Magic (seemingly to govern TimeTravel), has been obtained by a human so far.

*** The "Slash Emperor" owned by Ado Edem, during the times of ''Literature/AngelNotes''. He can produce a [[{{BFS}} titanic sword]] that can show the "World of Truth" upon targets, returning everything to their original state (that is, when they ''haven't existed yet''), allowing it to cut through realities like a hot knife through a butter. So far, it is the most powerful ability to date in the franchise.
*** Crimson Moon is an Ultimate One (specifically of the Moon), and thus possesses reality warping abilities on par with Gaia's. If he wanted, he could manifest his own Reality Marble roughly equal in strength to Gaia's, overwriting the laws of reality on Earth to those of his own design. Separate from that ability are his "Mystic Eyes of Rainbow", which are said to be able to "crush reality". He is further known to possess a Knight Arm similar to the Slash Emperor, but its properties and abilities are unknown.

*** Speaking of Arcueid, she is already considered to be the closest being to become the Crimson Moon's successor, but once she wakes up to the Origin and becomes Archetype Earth, she is stated to be even more powerful than the supposedly omnipotent Shiki.
** ''VisualNovel/FateStayNight'':

*** Reality Marble, used by [[MotherNature Gaia]] to shape the entire world as we know it. To be specific, Reality Marbles force all things around you to obey your vision of the world. Reality Marbles are traditionally possessed by the [[SentientCosmicForce Ultimate Ones]], but beings born from Alaya (the collective will of humanity) and the Counter Force (a force of nature that ensures the balance between Gaia and Alaya) can also perform this. However, since their use of Reality Marbles clash against Gaia's, performing it will consume a lot of [[{{Mana}} prana]], its effects are limited to specific areas, and Gaia will actively try to destroy it so it can't last for more than one night.

*** Ryougi Shiki unknowingly gained a deep connection to Akasha, which manifests as a split personality she is unaware of. This personality, being the personification of Akasha itself, is [[TheOmnipotent omnipotent]]. Fortunately for everyone, it's also absolutely neutral and has no interest in getting involved with anything.

* Anthony Fremont from the Jerome Bixby short story "Literature/ItsAGoodLife". This story was later adapted as a famous episode of ''TheTwilightZone''. This depiction of Anthony may be the scariest example of a Reality Warper to date. In the sequel, Anthony's daughter is also a warper--in fact, she's more powerful.

* ''Series/TheTwilightZone'' episodes

** The inter-dimensional imps Mr. Mxyzptlk and ComicBook/BatMite (on the ChaoticNeutral side). In "ComicBook/EmperorJoker," Mr. Mxyzptlk accidentally gives most of his power to ''SelfDemonstrating/TheJoker'' (on the extremely ChaoticEvil side!). Earlier, at the end of {{UsefulNotes/the Bronze Age|OfComicBooks}} Batman/Hulk crossover, the Joker got reality-warping power from the above Shaper of Worlds (Marvel).

* ComicBook/Sleepwalker is a mild example compared to the humans mentioned above. His EyeBeams are referred to as his warp beams, warp vision, or (as is standard in more recent comics, warp gaze) and their main effect is VoluntaryShapeshifting on anything Sleepwalker chooses to affect with them. For instance, he can twist streetlamps and mailboxes to restrain criminals, turn a window into a slide to save someone from falling to their death, or box in people who are trying to attack him. Sleepwalker can also use his warp beams to project images or to free people from DemonicPossession. While these abilities are powerful, Sleepwalker can't pull off the various feats human warpers can.

* Infinite from ''VideoGame/SonicForces'' does this with a mysterious gemstone embedded in his chest [[spoiler: that first appeared in ''VideoGame/SonicMania''.]] While the full extent of his power is currently unknown, the gem was previously established with the ability to [[spoiler: [[{{Teleportation}} teleport people and objects to different locations]], [[{{Technopath}} upgrade ordinary robots into more powerful machines]], and open portals to [[AlternateUniverse Alternate Universes]].]]

** In ''Anime/{{Pokemon3}} The Spell of the Unown'', the Unown have this power,(which is ironic, because in the games Unown are useless ComMons) and create Entei, who in turn grants a girl's wishes with the power. This quickly becomes supremely dangerous.

* Coin the Sourcerer, in ''Discworld/{{Sourcery}}''. Whereas normal Discworld magic requires hours of research, lots of preparation and, due to [[MagicAIsMagicA innate physical laws]], ''exactly as much effort as doing things normally'', a sourcerer (so named because he is a living source of boundless magical energy) can alter the world with a snap of his fingers. The bad news is that once the wizards get their hands on this power, they start recreating the Mage Wars, which means {{Innocent Bystander}}s run the risk of being Reality Warped into a non-viable form. The ''really'' bad news is that all this Reality Warping weakens the fabric of said reality, allowing the [[EldritchAbomination Things From The Dungeon Dimensions]] in.
** The good news comes at the end: [[spoiler: Coin realizes the Discworld is too small for him and in doing so reveals why the Discworld never keeps sourcerers for long—they make their own realities to live in.]]

* In ''Discworld/TheScienceOfDiscworld'', the thinking engine Hex uses the LoopholeAbuse of potentiality to calculate his way into creating some new processing capacity for himself. The narrative Lampshades that this is "garbage, but not ''complete'' garbage".

* Daniel from ''The Dangerous Days of Daniel X'' by Creator/JamesPatterson. He can do most of the things listed in the description, as well as create people. The only "catch" is that the people must ''once'' have existed. An example is that he often creates his dead parents and his sister that his mom was pregnant with when she died. He is also a {{Voluntary Shapeshift|ing}}er.
** The problem is, there are plenty of bad guys around who can do the same thing, and some of them are better at it than he is. And he's just as vulnerable to sneak attacks, ambushes, and underhanded tricks as the next man, and when you're fighting other reality warpers, those tricks can be SERIOUSLY underhanded. For example, the BigBad of the book [[spoiler: gets the upperhand on Daniel by taking the form of a girl, and making Daniel fall for her.]]

** Alteration is one of the series' eight (later six) [[FunctionalMagic schools of magic]], and focuses on very small scale reality warping. It includes spells of paralysis, [[UtilityMagic levitation, jumping, water breathing, water walking, locking, lock opening, feather, burden]], and personal elemental shields such as flame cloaks. (It should be noted that some spells have been reclassified throughout the series, so not all of these effects may appear under the alteration school in one given game.)
