* In the ''Literature/SherlockHolmes'' novel ''The Twelve Thefts of Christmas'' by Tim Majors, Holmes has been challenged to a sort of PuzzleHunt by Irene Adler, with the theme of thefts that aren't really thefts. Dr Watson thinks Holmes is too obsessed with this, especially when he has an actual client. When Holmes starts deconstructing the ''Times'' crossword for anything that might be relevent, Watson says he's seeing patterns where none are there, and that in his current state he could probably just as easily derive something from the headline opposite. Then he realises the headline opposite is about a river that was mysteriously drained of water.

** In "LP Mario 64...very slowly", the duo joke about what would have happened if the UsefulNotes/Nintendo64 really was as slow as the [=LPer's=] emulator made it look like. One of their remarks is how it had state of the art graphics and only 2 MB of RAM. This isn't very far off from the truth -- the N64 had 4 MB of RAM without the expansion pack, yes, but it used high latency Rambus DRAM which made it a huge bottleneck on the system.
