A big battle is going on, and one of the good guys gets injured. Usually, it's not a main character, but rather a secondary one who utters the phrase "I can't feel my legs...". When this comes out of their mouth, you know that they're going to end up paralyzed in some way (usually for life). This is a common backstory for the InspirationallyDisadvantaged, WheelchairWoobie, or someone with a DisabilitySuperpower.

Despite being paraplegic, he actually manages to climb his way up with upper body strength alone before falling off. Once he lands, he immediately feigns panic with "Oh no! Oh no! I've broken my legs!" before he and the boys share in a laugh.

* In ''WesternAnimation/ExtremeGhostbusters'', the local HandicappedBadass Garrett invoked this--PlayedForLaughs, of course, as he is one of the best-adjusted paraplegics around.
