Swinging an axe is not the same thing alcohol tolerance, and just about every time it comes up in the books, Legolas seems to be capable of physically out-performing/out-lasting Gimli. He's just usually enveloped in a cloud of BishieSparkle while Gimli is being Badass, so nobody cares.

A DrinkingContest is typically dreaded by a character who CantHoldHisLiquor, and may be subject to exploitation by one who NeverGetsDrunk.
