* The return of ''Wrestling/CMPunk'' to WWE '''''WWE''''' at Wrestling/SurvivorSeries on November 25, 2023.2023. Punk had completely burnt his bridges with WWE during his initial exit from the company and yet, despite his reputation is arguably at a new low because he had ''also'' burnt his bridges with AEW with the All Out 2022 Media Scrum and All In 2023 disasters, Punk was willing to make amends with people like Wrestling/TripleH and Wrestling/TheMiz, allowing him to be accepted back to the company and basically start himself from anew. Triple H himself acknowledged this by saying that Punk's return is a [[https://twitter.com/TripleH/status/1728631658054836491?lang=en "mighty cold day in hell"]].

* A very disturbing example from ClassicalMythology is the feud between the brothers Atreus and Thyestes for the throne of Mycenae. Thyestes was king, and Atreus treated him to a feast. Atreus got Thyestes to swear an oath that he'd give up the throne if the sun rose in the west and set in the east. Atreus then revealed that he'd murdered Thyestes's sons and [[IAteWhat and served them to him in his meal.]] The [[GodOfLight sun god Helios]], who drives the sun across the sky each day, was so disgusted by Atreus's crimes that he reversed his usual course and started in the west before settling down in the east. Thyestes, caught by his own oath, was forced to give up the throne to Atreus.

* In October 2019 Denise Kirby, a DUI lawyer from Kansas City, was told that a case she was scheduled to defend was set for February 3, 2020, and she asked to reschedule that trial because she said that she would be in Miami on that date to watch the [[UsefulNotes/NationalFootballLeague Kansas City Chiefs]] play in the UsefulNotes/SuperBowl. The courtroom laughed, as the NFL season wasn't even halfway done and the Chiefs, while looking promising with a young atheltic quarterback in Patrick Malhomes, hadn't been to a Super Bowl in fifty years; nonetheless, the judge said that if they did make it she would be granted continuance. Lo and behold, the Chiefs make it to the Super Bowl after beating the Tennessee Titans in the AFC Championship Game on January 19, Kirby [[https://www.google.com/amp/s/abovethelaw.com/2020/01/chiefs-lawyer-super-bowl/%3famp=1 filed the pleading]] for the continuance, and it was granted. Presumably she spent February 3 recuperating after partying all night as the Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl.
