* The [=McNinja=] family of ''[[Webcomic/TheAdventuresOfDrMcNinja The Adventures of Dr. McNinja]]'' is one of the most badass families out there. On top of being four of the deadliest ninjas in the world, one of them is also a doctor of EVERYTHING, one designs technology so advanced as to be indistinguishable from magic in his spare-time, the mom is a CompletePsycho, and the dad assumed the leadership role of all American ninjas by virtue of the authority in his mustache (he also sets himself on fire for fun sometimes). On top of that you've got the Doc's sidekick, the sharpshooting-acrobat raptor-riding-bandito mustachioed-12-year-old Gordito along with loyal receptionist Judy the GORILLA.

** Finally, we have Dirk Strider, [[spoiler:the [[AlternateUniverse Alpha Universe]] incarnation of Bro]] who is arguably the most Badass of all. [[spoiler:Born in a BadFuture, he had to ''raise himself'' from birth with nothing but a DemonicDummy for company. He dabbles in robotics - if by dabbling you mean creating fully sentient AIs and combat robots that can slay giant seadragon-lusii easily. (Dirk can beat these combatbots effortlessly, for comparison.) He maintains a [[HiveMind group consciousness]] by keeping his dream self awake permanently, and uses it to slay enemy agents in single hits and to stage rebellions ''just by showing up''. Oh, and did we mention he's BadassGay?]]

* King Zahard's family from ''Webcomic/TowerOfGod''. Technically it consists of a group of adopted female warriors, Zahard's Princesses, who received a part of his power through his [[ThePowerOfBlood blood]]. This makes them so strong that they are forbidden to have any relationships, lest they spread that power uncontrolled.

* ''FanFic/ABriefHistoryOfEquestria'' has Hurricane, his wife Wind Whistler and their child Pansy.
* A common trope in the MCU is the "Stony Superfamliy" which typically constists of Steve Rogers, Tony Stark and Peter Parker. Given that all three characters are superheroes and badassess in their own right, you don't want to mess with THIS family.

* In ''[[FanFic/TheRivalPrefectsTrilogy The New Prefect]]'', Albert comes from a family with a reputation for excellence and knows he has a lot to live up to.

* ''Fanfic/SonOftheSannin'': Unlike in canon, Naruto grows up with a large adoptive family, and every one of them except his infant niece and nephew are powerful ninja in their own right (and considering the fact that both of said infants are [[BornWinner Uchiha]], the deck is heavily stacked in their favor).

* ''Franchise/StarWars'' has the Skywalker family and the Solo family, who are united by marriage. We've got ''two'' badass {{Action Mom}}s--a Princess and a Queen--''two'' badass Jedi warriors, one smuggler pilot-turned Rebel hero, and [[spoiler: ''two'' feared Dark Jedi, once we meet Han's son Kylo Ren]].

* Creator/JaneAusten. She had two brothers who became admirals and lived in a circle of gentry who were very warlike [[MoreThanMeetsTheEye despite their dandyish appearance]]. They may have had {{Big Fancy House}}s and gone to DancesAndBalls. But all that was [[{{Plunder}} unwillingly subsidized]] by the French government.

* Disney's ''Disney/TheLittleMermaid'' franchise has the royal family -- The titular protagonist, Ariel, is a tough, determined mermaid whose not afraid to attack a sea witch who now wields the triton to save her love interest. Speaking of love interest, Eric (Ariel's love interest/husband) is a skilled mariner who ''killed'' the same sea witch with a boat. Ariel's father, Triton, is the true wielder of the trident and is not afraid to use it to protect his loved one. Ariel's older sisters may not have a lot of action-packed moments, but the TV series shows that when danger comes, anyone of them is prepared themselves and others. The sequel movie ''Disney/TheLittleMermaidIIReturnToTheSea'' adds Ariel and Eric's daughter, Melody, who is as much as a hero as her mother. And [[Disney/TheLittleMermaidIII the prequel]] ''finally'' introduced Ariel's mother, Athena, who went MamaBear for one of her children to protect the child from dangerous pirates.

* An extended family example in the Pelekai ʻohana from the ''Franchise/LiloAndStitch'' franchise (primarily [[Disney/LiloAndStitch the 2002 original film]] and ''WesternAnimation/LiloAndStitchTheSeries''). You've got a BadassPacifist little girl who, [[ParentalAbandonment despite losing her parents]], managed to reform over 600 artificial alien lifeforms who were designed to be evil into using their abilities for good and seeing one another as family (Lilo Pelekai), her older sister who will [[MamaBear do anything to protect her]] (Nani Pelekai), the "EvilGenius" creator of said lifeforms who is a [[BadassBookworm biogeneticist and engineer]] with StoutStrength serving as their [[HonoraryUncle "uncle"]] (Jumba Jookiba), a NervousWreck serving as their [[HonoraryAunt "aunt"]] who nonetheless has actually helped with reforming the lifeforms and had some CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass moments ([[GenderBlenderName Wendy]] Pleakley), and finally the alien lifeforms themselves (the [[Characters/LiloAndStitchExperiments experiments]]), all of them with unique powers and abilities who see each other as "cousins" to one another, with their youngest being their [[GeniusBruiser strongest and smartest]] who managed to pull everyone together while serving as the little girl's pet "dog" and [[LikeBrotherAndSister brotherly]] [[PlatonicLifePartners best friend]] (Stitch).

* In the ''Literature/{{Discworld}}'' of Creator/AAPessimal, there is the Smith-Rhodes clan. Descendants of an imperial adventurer from the Sto Plains who carved out a new colony in [[DarkestAfrica Howondaland]] - which with superb self-effacing modesty, he named [[UsefulNotes/{{Zimbabwe}} Smith-Rhodesia]] after himself, one side of the family remained Morporkian-speaking and carved out its own empire in gold and diamonds.Which they are determined to keep, by any means necessary. The other branch, currently ruled (or so he thinks) by its patriarch Andreas "Barbarossa" Smith-Rhodes, became farmers and landowners in the Vondalaans-speaking Boer half of the nation. His daughters Johanna and Mariella are trained Assassins. Two grand-daughters, one adoptive, are also Assassins. Any member of the family is guaranteed to give you a hard fight if you try to spoil their day. Johanna's daughters are respectively a witch, [[{{Tykebomb}} a trainee Assassin]], and a youngest who combines aspects of both in a deceptively mild package. The sons of both family lines can be almost as lethal, too.

* The Gracie family. The late Helio and Carlos Gracie essentially created Brazilian Jiu-jitsu and left a legacy of legendary fighters who have competed at the international level in both Jiu-jitsu and UsefulNotes/MixedMartialArts. Some of the better known ones are Royce, the first UFC champ. Renzo, Royler and Ryan all competed in PRIDE. Rickson and Relson were supposedly even better than Royce but were too old to have a large impact when MMA really started and now Kyra Gracie is looking to enter into female MMA.

* UsefulNotes/TheodoreRoosevelt, the least of his badassery being completing an hour and a half long speech with a bullet in his chest, and volunteering to fight in World War I despite being in his 50s. All of his sons were in the military, two of whom served in both World War I and II. There are only two father and son pairs who received the Medal of Honor, and their names are [=MacArthur=] and Roosevelt. Theodore Roosevelt III was a Navy pilot and a Brigadier General who landed with his troops at Normandy at Utah beach who famously said "We’ll start the war from right here!" and turned a confused landing into a successful one, ''while'' fighting with his own heart condition and arthritis, ultimately earning him a Medal of Honor. Theodore Roosevelt IV was a member of one of the Navy's Underwater Demolition Teams, the precursors to the Navy [=SEALs=]. You'd have a hard time finding a more badass family.

** The Thundershield family is very, ''very'' large, and full of badassery. They provide some invaluable support in several battles while the Order is trying to stop Hel's clergy, complete with friendly bickering like it's a family outing.

* In ''Literature/{{Touch}}'', we have the Toranagas, a family of the strongest mages in the eastern United States, including Peter, a doting father who also happens to work as a director for {{TheMenInBlack}}, Hideyoshi and Tsuru, a pair of immortal, monster hunting grandparents, and James, a twelve year old boy with levitation and mass-scale aerokinesis. His younger sister, Bex, is implied to be just as powerful.
