* In the ''VideoGame/GodOfWar'' series, Kratos's wife Lysandra has her name revealed only in the comicbook and manual. His mother's name (Callisto) only appears on screen once when [[spoiler:you fight her as she's turned into a monster]] but is never uttered.

* In ''VideoGame/ArmoredCore4'', the name of the Chapter 4 boss (Ursragna) is only given in the UsefulNotes/Xbox360 [[AchievementSystem achievement]] for beating the mission on Hard mode.

* While ''VideoGame/{{Eversion}}'' has no dialogue and never names any of its characters, the manual of the UsefulNotes/{{Steam}} HD remake reveals that the main character's name is Zee Tee, an asterisk, [[SaveThePrincess the Flower Princess]]'s name is Nehema, and the enemies are named Ghulibas (probably a portmanteau of "ghul" (Arabic for ghoul) and "[[Franchise/SuperMarioBros Goombas]]"?)

** ''VideoGame/ShantaeAndThePiratesCurse'' has the Ammo Baron's latest recruits, Twitch and Vinegar. [[http://www.themarysue.com/interview-with-shantae-co-creator-matt-bozon/ The Ammo Baron was originally supposed to introduce them by name, but the line was accidentally removed while the script was being edited.]] Their names were eventually revealed when the UsefulNotes/{{Steam}} version was released, and the Steam Profile wallpaper that features them included their names.

** The shark drill sargent that replaces Mrs. Puff in "Mrs. Puff, You're Fired" is named in the credits as "Sergeant Roderick".

** The evil [=SpongeBob=] robot from "It's a [=SpongeBob=] Christmas" is named [=ToyBob=].

* Some characters' names in ''Film/UpPompeii'' are only given in the end credits:
** The stallholder who Lurcio discusses Ludicrus Sextus' latest orgy with is called "Vinus".
** The woman who tries to have it off with Nausius at Ludicrus Sextus' orgy is called "Plumpa".
** The woman who tries to seduce Captain Bilius in the steam baths is called "Boobia".
** The woman getting a massage in the steam baths is called "Biggia".

** ''VideoGame/Portal2'': [=GLaDOS=] and Chell are still not identified by name except for [[spoiler:an easy-to-miss poster for Bring Your Daughter to Work Day]] in the latter's case. Wheatley refers to himself by name twice but no-one else does. He also refers to [=GLaDOS=] as "''her''" several times early on in the game, even when he has no reason to think you know who he's talking about. This is a little jarring.

* ''Series/ThePrisoner'': Rover, the roaring sentient weather balloon who prevents anyone escaping from The Village, isn't named at all except for one fleeting, offhand and easy-to-miss reference in "The Schizoid Man".

* Strangely inverted in ''WesternAnimation/TheNightmareBeforeChristmas'', where Doctor Finklestein is referred to by name (once) in the movie, but is listed in the end credits simply as "Evil Scientist".

* Most of the women bus drivers in ''Film/OnTheBuses'' aren't named in the film, but the one who has spiders hidden in her cab by Stan and Jack is called "Vera", the one who gets caught NatureTinkling by a parson is called "Peggy", the one who is tricked into driving down the motorway is called "Ada", and another is called "Gladys".

* Several characters' names aren't given in ''Film/DoctorInTheHouse1954'':
** The female student who brags about how easy she found the exam is called "Jane".
** Miss Minster's first name is "Isobel".
** Alfie's last name is "Sprogett".
** The first nurse who Tony proposes to is called "May".
** One of the men is called "Paul".

* ''Film/TheDarkCrystal'' is a surprisingly egregious example. None of the names of the individual Skeksis and Mystics are revealed in the film; they were only mentioned in the companion book. The book is also the only place that revealed the species names urRu (the proper name for the Mystics) and urSkek ([[spoiler:The name of the species that was divided into the Skeksis and the Mystics/urRu]]).
