Adult Fear is now a disambig

* AdultFear: As usual, given the child protagonists and the dangers that befall them that are typical of Stine works. However, this is particularly emphasized in "Are We There Yet?", wherein Tammi and Artie's parents are notably sorrowful the night they stay at the Wayside Motel. The following morning, Tammi and Artie wake up to find their parents gone and the place absolutely devoid of life. They're forced to walk through a field cemetery and brave an area where nasty, angry dogs reside. [[spoiler:Even worse, the whole thing is revealed to be a governmental test to determine if the kids are smart and brave enough to be worth saving. Their parents are horrified when they fail, but Tammi and Artie manage to avoid being taken away]].

* InstantlyProvenWrong: In "Losers", after his humiliating scene at the carnival, Colin thinks it was AllJustADream, and when he gets home and is undressing to take a shower, he thinks about how he'll forget about it later on. [[spoiler: But then he takes a look at his bare chest in the mirror and realizes that he CAN'T forget about it, as he sees in his bedroom mirror that his shirtless body says "LOSER", just like the tattoo he got at his "imaginary" experience at the carnival]].

** In "Losers," one of Colin and Pete's many nasty pranks at the fair is making fun of the produce in the "Best Vegetable" contest and scribbling "LOSERS" on some of the plants. They're later subjected to the same treatment when they're given enchanted cotton candy that bloats them to become enormously fat, reducing them to immobile, silent blobs that are likewise judged and branded with the word "LOSERS." Colin even compares himself directly to a cabbage while in his spherical state.

* TemporaryBulkChange: In "Losers," two bratty teens named Colin and Pete head for a carnival and make fun of both the employees (including some freak show workers) and the people enjoying themselves. They get their just deserts--literally--when the head carny offers them some cotton candy. Eating the sweets causes them to balloon to a massive size, until they are too fat to move or even ''talk'' any longer, as their tongues have swollen as well. They're then forced through a "Best in Show" contest just like the one they mocked.
