* MisplacedKindergartenTeacher: In one of the books, Penelope Primrose, author of cutesy books about a rabbit called Little Bluebell, appears. She refers to the ten-year-old protagonists as "little tots", speaks in baby talk, and insists she doesn't take any "grown-up drinks" like tea. She's scared off when she sniffs a bouquet of flowers with stinging nettles hidden in them.

Mr. Majeika is both a wizard and a teacher because, according to his own words, people won't give you a job if you tell them you can do magic. After all, who believes in magic nowadays? Once you've got the job secured, however, nothing stops you from awing the kids with some handy tricks. Producing snacks out of nowhere is one of his students' favorites.

* MustHaveLotsOfFreeTime: The titular character teaches at a regular school and, instead of grading assignments or preparing his classes, he gets into supernatural hijinks with his students. Somehow {{justified|Trope}} because he's a wizard and therefore better equipped to deal with that sort of stuff.
