* Film/TheIdeaOfYou:
** Many people who didn't care for the premise watched the film just to see Creator/AnneHathaway and Creator/NicholasGalitzine in a RomanticComedy together.
** Fans who were impressed by Nicholas Galitzine's singing skills watched the film just to listen to him sing again. Amazon took advantage of this by releasing several of the songs performed by August Moon (and thus Galitzine by extension) months in advance to help promote the film.

* A lot of people have watched Film/ZabriskiePoint solely because of its Music/PinkFloyd connection. As for More and La Vallée, the main reason that anyone even hears about these films today is that Pink Floyd is still selling the albums (More and Obscured by Clouds) of the music that they wrote for the soundtracks.

* The biggest reason anyone watched Cagefighter: Worlds Collide was because they were wrestling fans interested in seeing Jonathan Good (the-then AEW World Heavyweight Champion Wrestling/JonMoxley aka. Dean Ambrose from Wrestling/WWE) basically playing himself as the antagonist Randy Stone, a pro-wrestling champion put up against an MMA champion fighter. They even used actual footage from Moxley's championship run in AEW in the film's trailers.

* How I Won the War is a very strange case. The only reason people see it? Music/JohnLennon.

* Possibly the only reason why anyone went to see the Beach Party reunion film Back To The Beach was to see the Pee Wee Herman cameo.

* If the internet is to be believed, most of the people who watched Film/Hawking after 2010 were just there for Creator/BenedictCumberbatch's performance. Granted, it is a great performance and landed him a BAFTA nomination.
** Some fans have watched Literature/WarHorse as well as Film/TheOtherBoleynGirl just because he was in it for a few minutes.

* Some fans of specific actors or directors will want to watch their entire filmography, down to nigh-impossible to find short films and episodes of TV series. Finding the actor attractive being one reason.
** In general, if you have a favorite B-movie actor and plenty of time and/or disposable income on your hands, you'll watch droves of otherwise unwatchable films just to catch a glimpse of your hero - and that goes double if you're a horny dude and the "star" is a sexy babe. Take Anna Nicole Smith, for instance. How many boys aged 14 to 25 watched the DTV movie To the Limit Fanservice just to see her naked body - when she wasn't even the main character in that film, and in fact it was a sequel to an earlier film, Da Vinci's War, which she wasn't in and which was made before most people had even heard of her? There's a reason some second hand [=DVDs=] can be quite pricey.

Film/Godzilla 2014:

*** Ironically, one of the biggest criticisms leveled against the movie was exactly Godzilla's and Cranston's limited screen-time (), and while most critics applauded this "held-back" approach, audiences were less forgiving (there was a significant drop in attendance following a strong opening), proving this trope to be a double-edged sword.However, the former case is fairly true to the source material. There are quite a few Japanese Godzilla films where the titular monster doesn't show up until the end, with maybe only a flashback montage at the beginning. Film/GodzillaFinalWars is such an example, and the one that started it all has even less Big G on-screen than either. Though in fairness, these movies have a lot more of other kaiju and much shorter runtime respectively.
*** Film/KongSkullIsland capitalizes on the fame of MCU actors Creator/TomHiddleston, Creator/SamuelLJackson, and Creator/BrieLarson to draw in audiences who don't care about or even hate Kaiju movies. And for the rest, well, there's more than enough giant monkey action to go around!

* Franchise/KingKong: Similar to Japanese Kaiju movies, the main reason most people watch King Kong, whether it's the original 1933 FIlm or newer films like the Franchise/Monsterverse film Film/KongSkullIsland, is to see a giant gorilla rampaging about and fighting other giant animals.

Added DiffLines:

* Film/AquamanAndTheLostKingdom: Most fans are only interested in seeing the film because of Orm taking an AntiHero role (and having some more lighthearted SiblingRivalry moments with Aquaman), the new undersea visual effects, how the movie is the finale of the [=DCEU=], or some combination of the three.
