* Early in the game B.J., escaping prison, passes through a ward full of wandering mental patients, most of them addled by occult experimentation. Is this an InsaneEqualsViolent section? Nope. When one grabs B.J. and starts crying and kissing his hands, clearly believing that he's a lost loved one, B.J. gently disentangles and tells him "Sorry, old man, you have me mistaken for someone else" and crosses the ward without incident, gravely reminiscing about an aunt of his with dementia.
* After escaping Castle Wolfenstein, B.J. has the chance to give some money to an old drunk of a beggar. [[VideoGameCaringPotential No, you don't get anything out of it, but there's nothing stopping you from doing it anyway]]. The softness in B.J.'s voice just sells it.
--> '''.B.J.:''' Here. For soup.

* This game is lighter on plot than ''The New Order'' but it keeps to that game's characterization of B.J. as reserving his impressive capacity for violence exclusively for his enemies; to others and his friends he's quite kind.

--> '''.B.'''B.J.:''' Here. For soup.soup.
** While he and his contacts are fleeing the tavern you can have him pick up Annette's bag to give to her on the boat. She hugs it gratefully to herself, and when the next chapter fades in they're discussing the date and how this is a Jewish holiday, with B.J. quietly encouraging Annette to talk about something that's weighing heavily on her mind.
** The affection in his voice when talking to Agent Two, who likes to give him [[InsultOfEndearment playful insults]]; this is the first time the player has seen her, but clearly they're good friends.

* Two pieces of concept art of The Old Blood are vacation photos taken by Rudi Jager of Greta, his Kampfhund. One of the photos shows Rudi embracing Greta [[http://static.trueachievements.com/customimages/039393.jpg]], and the second photo shows Greta running with the words "Greta ran through the tall grass! So happy!" written on it [[http://static.trueachievements.com/customimages/039392.jpg]]. Despite how cruel Rudi was during the campaign and how monstrous and vicious Kampfhunds look, one can't help but be touched by these innocent vacation photos of a man and his beloved dog. [[spoiler: Rudi at least thinks they'll be TogetherInDeath.]]
