* OverlyNarrowSuperlative as it might be given the setting, but Brock's expressed sincere belief that Rusty is "one of the foremost super scientists on the planet" and can solve the crisis somehow without OSI blasting him out of the sky, shows how much he respects his friend deep down.

** Also heartwarming when you consider that Rusty took Debbi St. Simone's eggs in order to make them. Hank and Dean weren't an accident; Rusty genuinely wanted to have kids from the get-go and went out of his way to birth them.

Someone wrote into the online advice column, "Dear Prudence", under the guise of Hank. Instead of it going ignored, the writer gets a legitimately sincere answer;
-->Q: Dad has a clear favorite: For as long as I can remember, my dad has clearly favored my twin brother, “Dean,” over me. It’s a little bit ridiculous. All of his friends acknowledge it and joke about it. Our dad has always thought Dean to be the smarter one, encouraging him to study, go to college; taking him to internships; and talking about his bright future. He even shared his beloved record collection with only Dean. To me, he makes offhand comments about how menial labor might be what I’m destined for. How can I not let this affect my relationship with Dean, who actually is a great guy and asks for none of this?

-->A: I think it’s admirable that you want to maintain a good relationship with your brother despite years of painful and obvious favoritism, but I hope you don’t feel that you can only do this by minimizing or ignoring your sadness at being slighted. It may help to talk to Dean about this—not in a way that assigns blame to him, or that asks him to fix your father, but simply to acknowledge reality and be honest about how it makes you feel. It may also help you to say something to your father: “Dad, it hurts when you say that I’m destined for menial labor and spend a lot of time talking about Dean’s bright future. Please stop.”

** Colonel Gentleman and the Action Man are revealed to be Dean and Hank's respective godfathers. Given their part in Rusty's HilariouslyAbusiveChildhood, it says a lot about how they've changed and that Dr. Venture recognizes it.

** It's a small moment, but when Billy's mother (who thinks Billy and White are a couple) comments on how Billy described White as handsome to her, White's response ("You said I was handsome?") sounds genuinely touched. She also seems to be rather accepting of their "relationship" which is quite progressive for a woman who was concerned about Action man's adopted son being interested in Rock'n Roll.
** When Sgt Hatred accidentally shoots the Flying Cocoon down, he tells Gary that even though he's angry at him for betraying him It was just a ploy by the Moppets he still warns Gary to get to safety.

* Monarch and Gary’s VillainousFriendship is shown in spades here, with the two giddily sneaking down to the lair in the middle of the night (look closely, and one can see the two sliding poles have plaques with their names on them) and having a blast testing out their new suits, going from grossed-out over a seeming cosmetic flaw to geeking out when the cosmetic flaw turns out to be an awesome feature, which doubles as FunnyMoments. When Monarch’s liver is crushed by the Venture Compound’s statue near the end of the movie, Gary immediately rushes to his side and helps the others lift the statue off of him, then freaks out when nobody can think of a solution until Chekhov’sGunman Ben arrives.

* The villains' plans in "The Unicorn in Captivity" falls apart when Brock views the HELPER imposter not as an appliance to ignore, but as a friend to be greeted and conversed with.

* At the end of the movie, when Dean is asking about who their real mother is, Rusty assures (and even promises) Dean that the person who birthed them loves Hank and Dean very much. Cut to TheStinger, and it reveals that the person who birthed them was...Rusty himself!

** In another scene, Brock is destroying his beloved car, and when H.E.L.P.eR. tries to get close, Brock brandished a large wrench, causing the robot to slowly back down and pop an array of weaponry. The furious Brock asks what is wrong with him, and Hank answers that he's the problem - he's scaring H.E.L.P.eR.. Noticing he still has the wrench in his hand, he bends down, drops it, and raises his hands with a contrite gesture. H.E.L.P.eR. immediately runs to embrace him.
