* During the chase scene, Scooby and Shaggy have a pair of monster masks fall on their heads. Seeing each other, they briefly scream in terror, causing the masks to fly off. As soon as the masks are gone, the pair see each other and immediately embrace with happy smiles.

** In a meta sense, fans have praised Noshir Dalal for voicing Flim Flam, with Noshir thanking the fans in return.

* In a meta-sense, the fact that Tim Sheridan tried to work Scrappy into the plot meant that he was actually considered to return. He had to remove it only because the script was getting too cluttered not because of fan outrage against him.
** And even then, they still manage to sneak in a small reference to him. When Mystery Inc happily declares the gang back together again, Flim Flam corrects them, adding, "except Scrappy". This unfortunately leads to Velma questioning 'what a Scrappy is', but it's heartwarming that Flim-Flam doesn't consider the gang complete without his old friend.
** Scrappy was his ''first'' friend in the series-and the one to invite him to join the ghost hunting team. Without Scrappy, Flim-Flam would still be alone and nomadic. If ''one'' person had to remember him and his place in the show, it makes sense it would be the person who owes the most to him.

* It's implied in the film to have been quite a while - at least a year (since Shaggy mentions the "summer before School" and they're not ''in'' school anymore) - since Scooby has been around Vincent. But he is able to ''pick up Vincent's scent immediately'' when they all arrive in the crypt.

* At one point Shaggy lampshades how he and Scooby are terrified of every monster they've encountered despite it always being a crook in a costume or a hoax. At no point does Daphne ever criticise them in this film for ''being'' terrified: she, like them, has met ''actual ghosts'', so of course the two are gonna be terrified; Scooby had a breakdown because of it... and she knows it. She knows they're scared - hell, Scooby is facing the trauma that gave him a nervous breakdown - but they help anyway. And she doesn't begrudge them for that.

** Too add to it, when Daphne is rummaging through her clothes while Fred and Velma sit on the bed, Daphne mentions that Scooby has "conquered his demons... twelve of them at least..." implying that Scooby ''successfully managed to recover from it.''
*** Shaggy mentions that Daphne, Scooby and he agreed never to talk about the 13 Ghosts. Daphne knew how traumatic it was for Scooby and she cares for him enough to ''not'' bring up his trauma again at any point. It's only when Scooby and Shaggy agree to come with them to save Vincent that she even brings it up again; because Scooby, without speaking, is allowing her too - he's agreeing to help, so he's willing to face this trauma.

* The movie opens with the meddling kids getting scolded by a local sheriff for their recent actions, including being told to they're not cut out for mystery solving and being threatened with legal action if they keep it up. In the end, however, an Interpol agent congratulates them for their hard work and suggests they consider a career in solving mysteries.
