* Savage’s reunion with Miss Elizabeth at Wrestling/WrestleMania VII turns it up to eleven. For backstory: after Savage did a FaceHeelTurn against Wrestling/HulkHogan, he renounced Miss Elizabeth as his valet. Their kayfabe separation lasted for two years, and in the meantime Savage got Sensational Sherri as his valet. Miss Elizabeth meanwhile went on to be the valet of several other wrestlers, but no longterm partnerships. So at Wrestlemania VII, the heel Savage lost a retirement match to the face Wrestling/UltimateWarrior, and Sherri responded by attacking Savage in the ring. Miss Elizabeth (who was in the crowd) jumped the guardrail and saved Savage from Sherri. In the aftermath they embraced in the ring as fans cheered, and many were openly crying to see the pair reunited again.

* Savage was put into a series of matches with Wrestling/DiamondDallasPage. Every night a road agent would ask about the finish and Savage would detail how he was going to win. Then one day, out of nowhere, Savage responded with, "I think I'll take the Diamond Cutter." Page has since said that win helped push him into the main eventer he became.

** He didn’t just pick any random night either. He waited until Spring Stampede, the pay-per-view that coincided with their feud, so that Page’s win could get as big an audience as possible.

* Savage was well known for his charity work and how much he cared for kids with special needs: he worked closely with the Special Olympics and after his retirement from pro wrestling made yearly appearances at All Childrens Hospital in St. Petersburg Florida delivering gifts and visiting with the kid patients at Christmas time.

* As controversial as Lanny Poffo's employment in WCW might have been He was paid six figure sums for five years and was called to wrestled one, maybe two matches (according to different sources), Lanny said that he got the gig because of Randy, and Randy always took care of his little brother.

* Many years after his beloved dog Hercules died (named after his friend and fellow wrestler Hercules Hernandez, who gave him the dog as a puppy), he asked his brother Lanny Poffo to scatter his ashes. When Lanny asked why he(Randy) didn't do it, he said it was because he wants Lanny to do the same thing with his ashes in the same spot when he dies and that "if it's good enough for Herc it's good enough for me". Randy died shortly after.

* Savage was famous for meticulously choreographing his matches, but none more so than his match with Ricky Steamboat at Wrestlemani III (which they rehearsed for weeks beforehand). This was a match that Savage lost, but the fact that he put so much time and effort into it regardless to give the fans the best show he could and help put Ricky over is really sweet.

* Overlapping heavily with TearJerker, Wrestling/HulkHogan's tweets following Savage's death about how they'd just started talking again and how Hogan regretted a decade of animosity between the two.

**The best moment from that was when Elizabeth, as per usual, went to hold the ropes open for Savage to leave the ring. Savage shook his head, wagged his finger, pulled Elizabeth away - and proceeded to hold the ropes open for her.
