** It's such a change from her usual demeanor and that makes it all the sweeter. She tenderly takes Pollyanna's hand and softly says "You'll be alright, dear. I ''know''." And in the epilogue, you can see her and her husband looking happy together for the first time in the film.

And she had been silently rejected by Pollyanna earlier. But now, once Pollyanna has gotten to the end of the crowd, she calls out for her aunt with a smile. Also it's the only time we see her [[WhenSheSmiles smile]]. And it's lovely.
