* While this isn't in the episode, check out [[http://arythusa.tumblr.com/post/104366869577/gravity-falls-the-love-god-intro the original storyboards]] for the introduction of the titular Love God. In the aired show, the sequence showed LG making an old woman fall in love with an old man. In the original storyboards? It's a lesbian couple, and everyone present was immediately accepting of it, nobody questions it, nobody bats an eye at all. Alex Hirsch and co. may not be able to [[Radar/GravityFalls get that past the radar]] quite yet, but it's good to see they're at least trying.

* A retrospective one, that makes Stan's pride in his overpriced tourist trap so much sweeter. It's made obvious throughout the episode that Stan's life was a colossal failure, and he turns up at Gravity Falls with barely a dime to his name. His attempts to make money by giving tours of his brother's lab looks to be going horribly wrong... until he tells a joke, whips up a funny exhibit and pulls out the charm. As the tourists all laugh you can just see it in his eyes, the dawning realization that he's finally found something he's good at, which he had used for the next 30 decades, not only to make a real good fortune, but also to capitalize it as a means of getting Ford back. Stan also admitted that he had to lie to the entire town (including Soos and the kids) to ensure that no one would be in danger as he couldn't risk them sabotaging his mission to get Ford back.

* A brief one, but as you see Stan throughout his years of running the Mystery Shack, you notice a few things [[MeaningfulBackgroundEvent around his mirror.]] It starts off pretty dower, with a newspaper indicating Stanley faked his death, then we see stuff like a picture of [[TearJerker him and Ford as kids]], then a picture of Dipper and Mabel, as well a sticker on his mirror that says "You're the best.", no points for who put that there. A very noteworthy detail is that you can see a picture of Stan labeled [[ItsAllAboutMe "Employee of the Month"]], then in the next cut, it's replaced with a picture of Soos that says [[PetTheDog "Employee of the Year"]].

* Despite everything, including the accrued evidence the twins have found against Stan, Mabel listens to her gut and trusts that her Grunkle really does love and care for her and makes the right decision in not axing the portal.

* The relationship between the twins in general counts. Sure, they pester each other a lot, but not five minutes go by when it's not clear they're the best of friends. And after ''so'' many Creator/DisneyChannel shows where any siblings in the show are almost ''always'' at each others' necks with the [[AwLookTheyReallyDoLoveEachOther sweet moments few and far between]], the only exception being [[WesternAnimation/PhineasAndFerb another animated show taking place in the summer]], it's a real breath of fresh air.

* Ford assuring Mabel that she's a good person after she brings back the unicorn hair. Exactly what she needed to hear after her incident with said unicorn.

** Dipper's offer that they beat Bill and grow up together sounds kind of like a [[DoesThisRemindYouOfAnything husband offering his aging wife that they face life and grow old together]].

** At the the end when Mabel is sitting alone at the pool missing Mermando, she's immediately cheered up by several messages in bottles that he sends her all the way from the ocean.

* Deputy Durland And Sheriff Blubs interactions are sweet . In almost every episode they’re in, Blubs is always complimenting Durland.

* Preston has a PetTheDog moment when he encourages Pacifica to hold McGucket’s hand in order to help defeat Bill, especially if you remember that he didn’t want to let in the ordinary people of Gravity Falls into his party.
** Despite their abusive treatment of Pacifica, when they’re freed from Bill’s petrification, they are happy to see her and open their arms to hug her.

* That adorable moment where Dipper and Mabel see a five-year-old Wendy hanging out with Tambry, and she blabs that [[PrecociousCrush Wendy thinks Dipper is cute]]. Turns out Dipper's crush on Wendy isn't so one-sided after all.

* Pretty much every single time Grunkle Stan calls Mable "Pumpkin" or "Sweetie." For all his sullen, grumpy grunkle-dom, he loves that little girl ''so'' much. His love for Dipper is more subtle, but definitely there.

** Sous and Wendy's respective wishes count too. Soos gets to play catch with his dad -- or at least a representation of him -- just once while Wendy's, at its heart, is seeing all the friends she saw get snagged by Bill safe and sound and doing the same crazy stuff they always do.

* That adorable moment where Dipper and Mabel see a five-year-old Wendy hanging out with Tambry, and she blabs that [[PrecociousCrush Wendy thinks Dipper is cute]].

** Stan even has a framed photo of both Dipper and Mabel in the secret facility behind the candy machine. This can be considered {{foreshadowing}} for ''Not What He Seems'': the fact that he has that photo in such a secret place, where no one but him can see it, is proof that, no matter what shady activities he may engage in, he really does love Dipper and Mabel.
