* The odds were never stacked in this movie's favor. It was the first movie in the MCU to feature a black lead, the first superhero movie to feature a black lead since ''Film/BladeTrinity'', and one of the only superhero movies ever to feature a predominantly black cast. With all this in mind, a final product that was only, "decent" would never have worked. Black Panther couldn't afford to be a good film, it had to be an exemplary one. Despite all that, it topped the charts at the box office, and was praised by critics and audiences alike, meeting all the raised expectations and them with style.

* A deleted scene of the mid-credits scene shows T'Challa having a conversation with Ross prior to his speech. Having seen Wakanda's technology first hand, Ross tries to persuade T'Challa about his plan to [[spoiler:reveal the truth of Wakanda to the world as it might attract a lot of enemies]]. When the king refuses, Ross respects his decision and will try to help him anyway he can. Before he leaves, Ross wishes him good luck in Xhosa though he mispronounced some of the words. While finding it funny, T'Challa appreciates this and thanks him. This shows how much respect the two of them have for each other. In fact, the two of them also address each other by their first names showing how close the two have become.

** Unlike most typical PetFadStarter movies, however, this is a positive and heartwarming effect; rather than pets with specialized needs going to unsuitable homes, these are people who the shelters had already approved for cat adoption choosing solid black ones over more traditionally "cute" colors. Black cats are infamously difficult to adopt out regardless of how sweet-natured they might be, because [[CatStereotype they're associated with bad luck]]. By changing the connotation of black cats, the movie allowed people to see them as gentle, fun-loving, and deserving of families, and may have saved their lives by finding them loving homes.

* [[spoiler: The post-credits scene shows Shuri overseeing Bucky's recovery since the end of ''Film/CaptainAmericaCivilWar''. Not one for formalities, Bucky even allows the princess to call him by his nickname]].

** T’Challa protectiveness over Shuri throughout the entire film is this. If theirs one thing you don’t do it’s harm T’Challas little sister.

* Due to the movie's success, ''Black Panther'' ended up being a PetFadStarter. Unlike most typical fad starters, however, it had a positive and heartwarming effect since it spurred the adoption of black cats, which often have trouble finding homes because [[CatStereotype they're associated with bad luck]]. Many of these cats probably wouldn't have found homes had it not been for this movie.

** What's more, back-stage she seemingly became the 'resident grandmother'. According to her, Chadwick Boseman never let a day on set go by without giving her a hug. D'aawww.

** It is reflected in the earlier challenge, no matter how hostile M'Baku and the Jabari are too him, T'Challa has an incredible amount of respect for him and how important he is to his tribe.

* Everett Ross has just met Nakia and knows she's a badass warrior but [[spoiler: the minute Klaue's Krew ambushes his interrogation, Ross immediately pushes Nakia to the ground and shields her with his body. Then we find out he's been shot *in the spine* and he's clearly dying in agony. He has no idea the technology exists that can save his mobility or just his life. Nakia's distraught reaction and refusal to abandon him, even if it means letting the CIA know too much about Wakanda, is an act of faith in Ross's inherent worth despite his earlier...American-ness.]] Adding to this, T'challa deciding to halt the chase for Klaue in order to heal his wounds.
