*** Being Regent wouldn't make them duke/duchess though. Regents are officals acting on behalf of the noble in question, they aren't offically known as duke/duchess. So at the end of the movie either Lincoln found a way to pass the duke status Angus through some legal process (most likely an Act of Parliament), or Angus technically didn't become the Duke of Loch Loud and Lincoln only calls him that since Lincoln was no longer interested in the role and for all intents and purposes Angus would be the duke despite technically only being Regent (unless Lincoln decides to take an active role again).

** They probably didn't arrange for their transport yet. Transporting animals internationally is a bit of a hassle. They probably were planning to make the arrangements to pick them up, but didn't follow through since they eventually decided to move back to the United States.

*** Not necessarily. Husband's can takes their wife's names rather than it strictly being the other way around. Either way, the Loud name would be continued, and it does make a tad bit more sense for it to be Harriet due to her striking similarity to Lucy.

** On a similar note, which side of Lynn Sr.'s family are they from? His Grandfather's or Great Grandma Harriet's? It's gotta be one of them since they look so similar to them.
*** Their last name is Loud, so they would have to be from his patrilineal line.
