** Years later, this translation was revised to Taciturn Stalwart in the 1.5 collection, so the devs must have agreed that it didn't fit. The intended meaning of "hero" was likely "a loyal warrior", as Lexaeus was untrusting of the rest of the members' scheming and was part of the faction that was against Marluxia's betrayal of the organization.

** Xion learned directly from Namine that for Sora to regain his memories and fully awaken, he'd need the memories that leaked into both Roxas and herself. So she knew that when she faded from existence, she would go into either Sora or Roxas, and if it was the former, then he'd still need to be absorbed by Sora regardless.

* At the end of Days, Xion says she's going back to Sora. But Roxas inherits her keyblade and other sources say he absorbed her. So... which is it? Was Xion re-absorbed directly back into Sora, or did Roxas absorb her?

Axel does remember Ventus, he just doesn't really find it worth mentioning that Roxas looks like somebody he knew a decade ago. Especially considering he's probably figuring that Ven is also an adult, and would look different by now.

** If you recall, in Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, there was a BonusBoss fight added in Hollow Bastion against an Unknown (Xemnas) that you can trigger on your 2nd visit there. Right before the fight, Xemnas phases through Sora, and a bunch of random sentences flash on the screen, ones that Sora has heard through out KHI. THAT is where the memories for Xion came from. That fight is shown to be canon as Sora has memories of it later on (I believe that Roxas see's flashes of it during his dreams at the beginning of KHII). This event is also what Xemnas is referencing to Roxas in the first scene in KHII.
--> Xemnas: I've been to see him. He looks a lot like you.

Thing is, interacting with people does wonders for developing yourself as a person. The keep-yourselves-hidden rule was an attempt on his part to prevent any of his candidates from growing their own hearts before Kingdom Hearts was complete. An attempt that didn't work quite as well as he'd hoped.]]

*** One of the lasts comments you can get from Marluxia before he heads off to Castle Oblivion is that he's disappointed Roxas didn't show up earlier. So Marluxia really wanted to manipulate Roxas he just already had a carefully scripted plan in place with no Roxas shaped holes he could fill with. He might have petitioned to have Roxas join him in Castle Oblivion but was turned down since Roxas was still so new.

** Pete was using Captain Hook's greed and anger to draw heartless, and Pete intended to take control of those heartless for the sake of Maleficent, who he doesn't know is dead yet. Thanks to Roxas all the heartless were destroyed instead before Pete could take them over. The Ruler of the Sky was Pete's attempt to stop the interloper from getting in his way.

to:

** Maybe Hook did try to control these heartless at first but they wouldn't listen to him unlike before, ergo he's scared of them.

Added DiffLines:

** I went with the guess with this and other "kill Purebred heartless" missions that it lead to multiple purposes. One, Roxas gets stronger as he kills heartless which is obviously beneficial, two, Emblem Heartless might show up alongside the purebred heartless, and three, this way the Purebreds are destroyed and thus don't get in the way during future missions in the area.

** It happened because Xion had been brainwashed by the Organization into fighting Roxas, but she didn't actually want to.
* So... why is the Organization so fixated on being unnoticed? Remember, this is before the Organization members started screwing with the worlds all the time as they did in Kingdom Hearts 2, so nobody knows they are the bad guys yet. In fact, since all the them look fairly normal and for all we see the only thing they are doing running around killing Heartless I can't think of a good reason the residents of the various worlds would care if not like having them around.

** Adrenaline and emotions ride high during a fight. Xion may have been intentionally making her fight as close to a "boss battle" as possible, because such battles would be high points of action and emotion for Sora, making it easier for those memories to flow back to their source. The emotional pain of loss might also have been required, as Sora would CLEARLY remember losing Kairi.

**** I very much doubt he'd be "all for" it. He'd probably hate himself after going through with it. He might do but he'd very much regret it. As for why they didn't ''try'' to ally with Roxas, such as figuring out what side he's really on, the risk is far too great. Even if they got Roxas,(and maybe Axel) on their side, they'd still have six members and a legion of lesser nobodies to take on. If Roxas died, Sora'd never wake up, and they'd be screwed. ''If'' they somehow managed to win, Riku would feel like the mother of all UngratefulBastards. How would that even play out? "Roxas... Thanks for helping us save the universe. Now you get to be whole!" "What do you mean by 'whole'?" "Simple. We'll shove you back inside Sora and you'll get to spend the rest of your existence watching him live out his. Doesn't that sound nice?"

** As for why they're elements: well, "Flowers" makes more sense if you extend it to just "plants". Wood is one of the five eastern ClassicalElements. Time and Space are natural things that they control, much like any other element, like Fire or Water. Illusions... is a bit of a stretch, yeah. And know that Square has [[SeikenDensetsu set a precedent]] for using Moon and Flower as elements anyway.

** He was still on his way when Roxas left, and had probably finished his training by the time Sora showed up. There was like a 6 day window. Phil can knock someone into shape in that time. And my money is on that trainee being Zidane...heck, Vivi is the closest we're going to get to seeing FinalFantasyIX, so why not speculate?

**** Prove, please, or else, this is nothing but you're theory. Nothing in the game presents this, and neither do official statements. What they ''do'' show, is Xion fading away from their memories when hanging out in the clock tower once Deep Dive comes in, and it's only each other to interact with. And despite that it's a retcon that never truly existed, if we are to take Days as it is now in correlation with KH2, most of the spaces that are blank when Roxas slowly remembers his past memories shows that they were more erased out than replaced.

** Time, as it pertains to Luxord, seems to be purposefully limited, so the rewinding deal makes a bit of sense. Light I figured is a take on blinding you to your environment, a la Zexion in CoM. Moon refers to lunacy or insanity, i.e. babbling like a loon, which would cause unintelligibility, which would mess with spoken spells, which matches the RPG status effect of 'silence'. Space refers to space-time, which refers to gravity. The deal with water and draining is that water is commonly associated with healing, and the fact that it also damages enemies is a gameplay element.
