General clarification on work content

* Why didn't Allen just wait to unleash the scourge virus? seriously there going to be on earth for hundreds if not thousands of years before they try anything off world again, he knows they arent lieing about that part since hes aware of earths importance to repopulation while they want to stay hidden, why not just wait a generation or two then make the call based on how well they are adapting?

** He's not thinking rationally. Especially given that he is a product of a breeding program (which is what one could consider the Viltrumite occupation to be), it makes perfect sense that, with all the Viltrumites in one place, and potentially "sparing" humanity a fate similar to his, that letting loose the Scourge virus makes sense, even if waiting for the first sign of trouble makes more logical sense.

** No. She specifically brings this up almost immediately and it is refuted. His body was simply chosen to make it so that their relationship wouldn't look pedophilic to others, as well as symbolic gesture of solidarity between them. His attraction is to her mind and heart, and he never once actually indicates the sorts of sexual attraction one would expect from an average couple. The "puppy love" comments were simply other people being dicks towards the two of them, because their team is mostly comprised of some of the biggest dicks in heroics. He is however extremely socially stunted, and so is undergoing a life experience usually undergone at the physical age of his clone body quite late in his mental life. It's quite likely that he recognized his own mental stunting and metaphorically views himself, in the realm of life experience, as still a child. Additionally, Monster Girl makes it clear that she herself is not interested in people who are after her for her body. Additionally-additionally, Robot spends a great deal of time trying to cure her condition, and it is shown that his care about this and dedication to it are genuine. If he were a pedophile, he'd consider her condition a boon, not something to cure, and would have instead attempted to convince her to see it the same way.

** Maybe? Robot is a man inside a kid's body who is attracted to a 29-year-old woman inside of a kid's body. There's no real indication that Robot is attracted to kids in general, that he's attracted to Monster Girl because she resembles a kid, or that he stopped being attracted to her when she began to resemble an adult. It's certainly squicky, but to what extent it equates to pedophilia comes down to how you define it. Like a lot of science fiction, Invincible plays with ideas in ways that can't be directly translated to the real world.

*** At least on the show, Robot says he's 30 years old, and Monster girl is 24. So, no, she isn't older than him.

** My understanding is actually that ''Robot'' is the younger of the two of them, albeit staggeringly intelligent for his age. Since he founded and lead the Teen Team, presumably as a teenager himself, it's quite possible that his cloned young adult body is close to being representative of his true age. The implications of the "puppy love" vibes would still be a bit squicky in that case (albeit from the other direction) given that Monster Girl was almost thirty years old at the time, though thankfully such concerns would be less relevant by the time they both officially got together, since they were both hundreds of years old by that point.

* Is Robot a pedophile? He became obsessed with Monster Girl and created a Rex clone of her ([[Really700YearsOld apparent]]) age so he could get close to her and seemingly seduce her. After they both come back from the Flaxan dimension, their relationship has developed into love, then separation, and they both have an adult appearance. Other superheroes comment on them having a "puppy love" thing going on, despite the fact that they both seem to be adults trapped in children's bodies - in Robot's case, by choice.
