* In ''Apocalypse'' and ''Culture'', Richie suggests a game of Chess, in the former, Eddie, disguised as the Grim Reaper, claims not to know how to play Chess yet in the latter, he does and has to try and teach Richie. Could it be that Eddie was only pretending in ''Apocalypse'' because he was trying to fool Richie at the time?

** In practice it's probably a retcon or an example of the show's generally loose approach to continuity (our main characters experience fatal or crippling injuries on numerous occasions). But considering that he's trying to con Richie, he likely wants to give Richie as little time as possible to realise he's not actually the Grim Reaper, so sitting down to a game of chess would defeat the object.
