- It was revealed in the first episode that Eddie cannot cook to save his life. Who then cooked the big fry-up in "Apocalypse", since Richie was hiding under the sofa all the time?
- Eddie said he was "too drunk to cook" in "Smells". He appeared to be sober in "Apocalypse" despite "testing" every bit of alcohol in the flat.
- Also, even if he can't cook, he's still going to if he has to. It's not like either of these men are overly concerned with healthy eating or cuisine, after all.
- In "Apocalypse" and "Culture", Richie suggests a game of chess. In the former, Eddie (disguised as the Grim Reaper) claims not to know how to play chess, yet in the latter, he not only does but has to try and teach Richie, who has no idea how to play it. Could it be that Eddie was only pretending in "Apocalypse" because he was trying to fool Richie at the time?
- In practice it's probably a retcon or an example of the show's generally loose approach to continuity (our main characters experience fatal or crippling injuries on numerous occasions). But considering that he's trying to con Richie, he likely wants to give Richie as little time as possible to realise he's not actually the Grim Reaper, so sitting down to a game of chess would defeat the object.
