So after Surge hears various ridiculously inconsistent stories from each of her teammates, she goes to ask Laura. Who tells her ''everything''. The effect is worse than it would have been had the team been honest in the first place.

* A minor moment from her debut episode in the ''[[WesternAnimation/XMenEvolution Evolution]]'' cartoon. When X-23's investigating some perfume belonging to one of the girls. She takes one sniff of the perfume and makes a perfect "gag" sound, and the expression on her face is priceless.
** When X-23 returns in the episode "Target X", she's quick to complain about Logan's "slow" HealingFactor. He's quick to point out theirs a fairly good reason for it.

* Laura's first day in School in the "Target X" miniseries. She gets sent to the principal's office twice with her guide, her cousin Megan.
** First, she's asked if she speaks French, and when she's asked to give an example of her French language skill, she proceeds to go into detailed assassination protocols.

** Then, in Biology, after correcting a teacher on how many pints of blood are in a human (5.6, he said 7), she's asked to if she has anything else to add for that class. Cue practical instruction on use of poisons.
** Finally, when visiting the principal's office for the second offense, the principal yells at the pair and asks them if they are even listening. Laura proceeds to repeat what the principal said to them. Exactly. Complete with vocal intonations and inflections.
** Watch Megan's reaction to Laura, at that scene. She's curling up in her chair, basically assuming the fetal position. This is the same girl who was introduced as something of a problem child with lack of respect for others. And ''she's getting freaked out''.
** And then she steals the principal's ''car''.
** Also hilarious is the ShoutOut of the two teachers' designs. [[Series/MythBusters Jamie teaches French, Adam biology.]]

* VideoGame/MarvelVsCapcom3 has her dumping Galactus' carcass at Wolverine's home in her ending, bragging how she should be considered the best since she had killed a god. Wolverine's all "Yeah yeah, [[GranTorino now get that thing off my lawn.]]"
* One of the cute scenes with Psylocke and X is after Psylocke had just been revived in ''World's End''. She and Laura have rejoined the captured X-Men and the Savage Land mutates, who are preparing to face the Hauk'ka. Psylocke is sitting on a branch, deftly braiding her hair while talking with Bishop. Laura is emulating her in the background, fighting with her hair, trying to get it to behave. A few pages later when the Hauk'ka arrive, Psylocke has moved on to helping Nightcrawler and Bishop un-lock their powers, perfect braid swaying behind her... and X-23 rushes out to fight Raina, with her hair in a messy bun, apparently having given up on it.
** Laura can frequently be seen aping Psylocke's mannerisms and body posture throughout these early Uncanny issues.
