* A majority of Wang Yibo and Xiao Zhan's behind the scenes involves them either play fighting or teasing one another.
* While filming Episode 2, the cast and crew struggled to shoot their scenes in the forest [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aZAQLcLe5bA due to having to deal with mosquitoes and flies]]. At one point, Wang Yibo (Lan Wangji's actor) got so annoyed that he cursed in ''Korean''.
* Wang Yibo [[{{Corpsing}} trying not to laugh]] in the middle of a take when Huang Ziteng (Lan Qiren's actor) [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-jISnB3RbiE accidentally refers to Lan Wangji]] (instead of Cangse Sanren) as Wei Wuxian's ''mother''.

* Wang Zhuocheng (Jiang Cheng's actor) has become a bit of a meme in the community due to his character's constant eye-rolling, even being nicknamed the "eye-rolling king". Wang Zhuocheng himself was surprised that he rolled his eyes that much since he didn't even realize it.
* For some reason, every behind-the-scenes video involving Zhu Zanjin (Jin Guangyao's actor) details him eating snacks. Even the series' official Weibo account took notice of this.
* Remember the scene where Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji reunite at Dafan Mountain? Touching, right? You might be cackling instead when you learn [[https://v.qq.com/x/cover/vbb35hm6m6da1wc.html?vid=h00312v2qiv&ptag=4_7 how they shot that scene]].
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gwZHiJoN9uo Xiao Zhan chasing Wang Yibo while holding a worm or a bug]], and Wang Yibo is scared of creepy-crawlies (which he admitted himself).
** In the same video, there's also Xiao Zhan counting down to Wang Yibo's 21st birthday, with the latter repeatedly whacking him with his sleeve.
* Xiao Zhan having trouble pronouncing "Baoshan Sanren", as he gets it mixed up with some other words. His frustration visibly grows through each take where he gets it wrong.
* During a break Xiao Zhan and Wang Yibo were talking about having to memorize their lines. Xiao Xian holds the script up to the camera where all of the orange highlighted lines which is almost two pages long were ''his'' lines, whereas the small blobs of green highlights were Wang Yibo's lines.
* Many of the actors [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gIyCsmauKQI playing "What's in the Box?"]], with hilarious results. Special highlights include:
** Zheng Fanxing taking out a plastic spider by mistake instead of the pen. And because he's afraid of spiders...
** Qi Peixin being CrazyPrepared by wrapping his hand in plastic before reaching inside the box. He then decides to make it creative by separating the cover from the pen and daring the next person to get both.
** Yu Bin getting rather violent with the contents of the box just to get the pen.
** Ji Li screaming when he first touches the inside of the box, and thinks he's touching a giant lizard.
** Wang Yibo immediately admitting at the end of the video that he's basically a scaredy-cat, since he's afraid of the dark, ghosts, and bugs.
* The irony of casting. From [[https://twitter.com/mochi890/status/1164268770963181571 this interview]], Ji Li wanted to be cast as Xue Yang because the character has a lot of fight scenes, whereas Wang Haoxuan wanted to be cast as Nie Huaisang because he ''doesn't'' have any fight scenes. Needless to say, they get the ''opposite'' of their request. Hey, at least they nailed their roles.
** What's even more hilarious as they go down the line was that apparently most of the cast had initially auditioned for Xue Yang's role.
* Some cast interviews reveal that everyone in the cast has read the uncensored version of the novel... except for Wang Yibo.
** There's also this priceless bit: Liu Haikuan's reaction to reading the entire novel was that, for some reason, he felt hot all over...... because he read it during the summer. What a troll!

* Nie Huaisang visibly oogling Lan Wangji and commenting, "The Second Childe Lan [[EvenTheGuysWantHim is nothing but an unparalleled gorgeous and elegant man]]." Wei Wuxian agrees with that statement, and then pokes fun at Lan Wangji's dressing in all white like he's going to a funeral. Nie Huaisang rolls his eyes and grumpily takes his fan back.
