* A lot of the humorous comments made by Robinson Risner in the "MiG Alley" Episode.
* For example, when he finally shoots down the MiG-15 he and his wingman were pursuing, it crashes straight into a line of parked MiGs at the enemy airbase: "And ol' Joe Logan said 'Hey lead! You just destroyed their air force!"
* Prior to that, during their pursuit, the MiG slows down in an attempt to get behind Risner. When they fly beside each other, Risner catches sight of the MiG pilot: "I saw him. He raised his fist and shook it at me. And I thought 'This is like being in the movies!'" to which the Narrator adds, "But it's not a movie."

* At one point in the "Kamikaze" episode, Ari Phoutrides, a quartermaster of the USS ''Laffy'' recalls one of the last D3A "Val" planes to flying towards the ship's bridge...
** Ari: It was very vivid in my mind, there was a huge bomb underneath his belly...
* But at the last second, Gun Mount 52 one-shots the Val out of the sky
** Ari: It hit the plane directly on the nose and it disintegrated. ''That'' I remember very vividly.

* When in cockpit view, the camera follows the eye movements of the pilot. In the episode, "Night Fighters," an F-15C gets in a dogfight with a [=MiG=]-29. In between them is an F-117. Since the F-117 is invisible to radar the F-15C can't see him and fires two missiles at the [=MiG=]. The pilot of the F-117 is surprised to see the missiles pass feet in front of his aircraft and freaks out for a second when he realizes the problem. He looks towards where the missiles come from and soon after sees another missile and the F-15C pass in front of him. The camera in the F-117 cockpit shakes back and forth showing the pilot's exasperation at the situation.
