* Another reason why Lelouch quickly develops respect (and later affection) for Optimus Prime is perhaps not just his natural charisma, but his empathy. As stated by C.C., the only one she knows whose compassion can rival Nunnally's is Optimus himself; Lelouch probably can't help but notice the similar quality between the two, and seeing as he loves his little sister with all his heart, he unconsciously grows to be a little receptive of someone who reminds him of her, despite his justified difficulty with trusting others.
** Continuing from this, Optimus Prime is a being whose ideals and beliefs stand in direct contrast to those of Charles Zi Britannia and Megatron: both preach that strength is what matters, and if you are weak, then you are only a pawn (though Charles was putting on an act). Optimus has great power as a fighter and leader, but he fights for peace and freedom for all people. This makes him the sort of person Lelouch would wish he had as a father: a powerful warrior king with a noble soul who uses his abilities to ''protect'' others, not dominate them.

** The first human of note would be Suzaku Kururugi (who was even made the first official "human Decepticon"). While many Cybertronians have noted the similarities between him and Optimus Prime, they gradually began to see that Suzaku may bear more similarities to Megatron. Even though Suzaku was eventually able to break away from Megatron's influence and serve alongside the Autobots and the Black Knights, Suzaku still in many ways represents the more enlightened and reconstructed path that [[FallenHero Megatron]] could have taken had he never been corrupted by power.

** In a way, this makes Optimus mentoring Lelouch even more important. As Megatron's uprising wasn't wrong per se, but due to his ambition and decay of ideals, lead him to become just as bad as the oppression he fought against. As Optimus saw some of Megatron in Lelouch at first, this was his chance to REALLY make up for last time. To change a would be destroyer into a protector and a true friend.

* Why would Starscream be so submissive to Megatron even though the events of "Rock Bottom" never happened? Remember, the events of "VideoGame/TransformersFallOfCybertron" actually happened in this continuity, and fairly recently at that; meaning Starscream had already staged his coup, began his time as a rogue Decepticon, freed Grimlock, and getting the snot beat out of by mentioned Dinobot. Most likely the two latter events had impressed Megatron to give Starscream another chance, not before dishing his usual beatdowns on him to ensure Screamer gets the point.
* If Unicron is connected to Geass, why can't Geass bearers affect Cybertronian yet? That's because Cybertronians have lived far longer and can adapt to counter the Geass for a while.

* ''Transformers'' is well known to cross over with ''Franchise/GIJoe'', which, much like Code Geass, has a leaning towards the military. What becomes engaging, however, is comparing the two only to realize that the Autobots and Decepticons switch positions here. In the G.I. Joe crossovers, it's the Autobots who team up with the predominant superpower (usually America) through the Joes and the Decepticons who team up with the terrorists through Cobra. Here, the Decepticons ally with the predominant superpower (also majorly located in America) and the Autobots side with the supposed "terrorists".

* Knowing how the Autobots are staunch opponents of Britannia's caste system, even though their faction had a hand with said system many years ago, only makes it better since the Autobots are facing their old demons. Ultimately, they would have sided with Britannia if this was the old order they had been talking about, but eons of warfare somehow made them realize that yes, what they have done is wrong. And putting themselves in the shoes of the rebel faction (Lelouch and the Black Knights) also made them realize as such; that this was virtually history repeating itself, and they have the power to change it.

* While Lelouch and Suzaku serve as parallels to Optimus and Megatron, their distinctions allow insight into why one relationship works while the other doesn't.
** While Lelouch's methods in obtaining victory are all too much like Megatron, his goal in making a better world for his sister is completely genuine; a little self-centered but a far more noble goal than Megatron's ambitions. Optimus's former incarnation's mission was to better understand individuals and find peaceful resolutions so helping Lelouch is just him carrying out that goal.
** While Megatron and Suzaku both climb the ranks, their feelings about it are way too different for any of them to connect. Megatron takes pride in his actions, good and bad, and if he did something wrong, he would push forward to correct the problem. Suzaku on the other hand, when faced with adversity, runs away.
