* ComingInHot: After the Doolittle Raids bomb Japan, the plan is to land at designated airfields in friendly China. But because the fleet was spotted before their designated launch point, by the time they reach the Chinese coast, (the parts occupied by the Japanese), they're running out of fuel. Rafe's plane, with only one engine running, manages to crash land his bomber mostly intact, only to be confronted by Japanese patrols. Danny's bomber comes in shooting up the Japanese only to crash land. Unlike Rafe, Danny's plane smashes to pieces.

** When Danny calls Earl to tell him that they are under attack, he says, "I think World War II just started." World War I was not known by that title in 1941, so Danny would not have called a conflict with Japan, whose planes they've identified, as World War ''II''.
** At the time of the attack, there was no bridge from the mainland to Ford Island, where Danny and Rafe find themselves with the attack begins.
