* SuggestiveCollision: Norma trips trying to catch her dog Ollie and lands in bed with Arthur. To make matters worse, Arthur's wife Linda catches them after they land.

* BellyDancer: One appears from behind during the opening credits.

* CastingGag: George Layton, who was at the time best known for appearing in ''Series/DoctorInTheHouse'', has a small role as the doctor who attends to Professor Crump.

It seems that no one will be having a relaxing holiday, as Professor Crump has to struggle to work with the vastly different Professor Vooshka; Carol and Sandra take advantage of Fred and Ernie's desperate advances before leaving them for Bob (Brian Osborne) and Clive (Creator/LarryDann); Arthur is worn down by Daphne's constant nagging and trying to track down her escaped mynah bird; Ollie goes missing, forcing Joe to try and find him once more; and Barnes has a chance re-encounter with Daphne, who had left him ten years prior.

** Professor Vooshka hears Daphne's mynah bird say "Show us your knickers" and mistakenly believes it's Professor Crump sleep talking.

** Fred turns a conversation about meat into one about sex.

* ReportsOfMyDeathWereGreatlyExaggerated: Professor Crump is believed to have died by Fred and Ernie after he is injured by Carol and Sandra's tent exploding, until they realise he was only holding his breath.

** Daphne, Carol and Sandra all go for showers, when Daphne's mynah bird starts calling out to them. Carol is convinced it is a man, so she brings Barnes in to sort him out, only for him to see his ex-wife Daphne and faint, taking down the door of another woman having a shower.

* {{Spoonerism}}: Major Leep muddles up his own name when trying to make an announcement.

* WrongBathroomIncident: Several instances of this, in the showers.
** FunnyForeigner Anna Vooshka brazenly enters the men's showers, when the "men" sign has briefly been removed, leaving just "showers". In the face of Mr Roland's horrified reaction, she calmly accuses him of discrimination. When he then tells her to go next door, she misunderstands and takes the cubicle next to him. Soon afterwards, when Linda sees her coming out of the showers, she marches in herself, to accost her husband.

* InterruptedIntimacy: Barnes throws a trash-collecting stick into some bushes, and an angry couple arise out and glare at him for it.

* SpellMyNameWithAnS:
** Creator/ElkeSommer plays Professor Anna Vooshka, but several sources incorrectly spell her surname as "V'''r'''ooshka".
** No one seems to be able to decide on if Creator/KennethConnor's Major has the surname of "Leep", "Leap" or "Leafe". The DVD subtitles use "Leep".

* HomeEarlySurprise: Ernie and Fred's wives Sylvia and Vera leave their health farm trip early. They had sent a telegram to inform them of this, but it did not reach Ernie and Fred. They suddenly arrive at Ernie and Fred's caravan, only to find it crowded with Ernie, Fred, two other men, and four women.

* LosingHorns: Wah-wah music is heard when Carol and Sandra hold up the chicken which was to be their dinner, after it was run over by a van.

* AnOddPlaceToSleep: When Ernie and Fred accidentally blow up Carol and Sandra's tent, they offer their own caravan to sleep in. Where do Ernie and Fred then sleep? Standing up outside, wrapped in blankets. Later, when their wives turn up unexpectedly, they sleep standing up again, but inside the caravan.

* HaveAGayOldTime: This dialogue between the doctor, and Professor Crump, played by the gay actor Creator/KennethWilliams.

* HesDeadJim: Played for laughs when Fred and Ernie are somewhat drunk, and investigate Roland Crump lying unconscious in his caravan bed, supposedly with a bleeding head.

Fred interferes in their game, and casually kicks the ball away; it lands in somebody's bowl of washing up. That person throws it away; it lands in somebody's salad bowl, knocking it off the table. They kick it away; it lands in Barnes's wheelbarrow. He spears the ball with a garden fork, and throws it on his bonfire, to Fred's dismay.

* LosingHorns: Wah-wah music is heard when the girls hold up the chicken which was to be their dinner, which was run over by a van.

* ShovelStrike: A student carrying a shovel hits a loudspeaker broadcasting unwelcome announcements from the Major at the caravan site, causing an explosion at the speaker, and in the Major's office.

** We don't get to know Arthur and Linda's last name, but the back of the DVD in "The Complete ''Film/CarryOn'' Collection" boxset gives it as "Upmore".
