Jessie uses him to make manifestations of Sean, but Sean either stands around doing nothing or just repeats the actions Cody watched on Jessie's home movies. His previous father tried to use his gift to bring his wife back after the Canker Man absorbed her, but Cody could only imagine her as a doll-like facsimile. [[spoiler:The Canker Man is also his mind's twisted rationalization of his mother, who underwent treatment for pancreatic cancer and, just before they were separated, looked ghoulish due to the radiation treatments.]]
