In FanFic/TheWeedverse, many stories are told about the great heroes and magical princesses of friendship castles. Cerulean Skies is not a princess, nor a wizard, nor a hero. She's just a unicorn born to a family of pegasi, who ruined the lives of those around her. Being a unicorn made living in Cloudsdale impossible for her family.

!!The tropes in this short are:
* ArcWords: What about the rest of us?
* AxesAtSchool: A unicorn with even a small idea of what they're doing can be devastating if they cut loose, and Cerulean is getting tempted. Fortunately, she doesn't snap, instead confiding in her father. Once it comes out, he's rather glad about what she [[ClusterFBomb actually did]].
* {{Bathos}}: The serious scenes of Fairweather and Dusky reacting to Indigo's conscription and Cerulean's introspection are interrupted by [[spoiler:Flicker Nicker and Piper chasing rats into the scene and out again with a chainsaw]]. {{Lampshaded}} in TheRant.
* BigOlUnibrow: Dates at the spar to try and tame hers are not one of Cerulean's favourite things.
* BoxedCrook: When Indigo is accused of sexual assault, he's given a choice between the Guard and jail.
* ChainsawGood: [[spoiler:Flicker Nicker and Piper's arrival in the story is shortly followed by a revving chainsaw]].
* ChocolateBaby: The trope is {{Invoked}} by bullies trying to get at Cerulean, by claiming her mother cheated on her father.
* ClusterFBomb: Cerulean lets rip at Miss Pie after getting told off for not excusing herself before farting loudly, despite the fact that Cerulean attempted to do just that, and was refused by Miss Pie.
* ContinuityNod: Mr Mariner owns the factory where Cerulean is offered a job.
* DreadfulMusician: Cerulean is terrible at the tuba, but loves playing it anyway.
* GraffitiOfTheResistance: [[spoiler:Cerulean achieves catharsis (and her cutie mark) by engaging in this]], using the ArcWords question.
* HeroWorshipper: Cerulean has a fascination with Moondancer, or at least, her somewhat skewed vision of Twilight Sparkle's best friend. She occasionally begins to cross over into LoonyFan, but fortunately doesn't have the opportunity to act on it.
* KidsAreCruel: It doesn't take much to get Cerulean nasty comments.
* NamedAfterSomebodyFamous: InUniverse, the school that Cerulean attends is named after Trixie Lulamoon.
* {{Nerd}}: Her father informs Cerulean that she's from a long lineage of such ponies.
* TheTalk: The story opens with Cerulean in a sex-ed class at school.
* ParentsAsPeople: Dusky and Fairweather are genuinely trying to provide for their children, but the necessity of working twelve-hour shifts makes it near-impossible.
* PottyEmergency: Cerulean has one during class, due to the influence of her mother's choice in breakfast. Miss Pie is unsympathetic.
* SkippingSchool: After blowing up at the teacher, Cerulean decides to just leave, rather than deal with the school.
* StalkerShrine: Cerulean maintains one to Moondancer, despite never having met her.
* StayInTheKitchen: Miss Pie has this attitude, not overtly, but definitely places different emphasis on fillies' curricula.
* SternTeacher: Miss Pie comes across as this, though lacking the reasonableness often associated with the character type.
