Luckily, Mercy revived him but this led to another fight which led to a narrow escape. We then see Esdeath slicing off Topper's paw and when she arrives at the Snow Kingdom with the Frost-Frosted Cake, she traps Bea, Sakuya and Wendy after Sakuya nabs the Multi Moon and reveals her "strong survive and the weak perish" and is able to curb stomp Natsu with only a BigDamnHeroes moment from Sakuya saving him. In the Bubblaine chapter, Esdeath's talk of her philosophy got to Bea to the point Gray has to calm down Bea and the chapter also has Marisa overcoming her hydrophobia to save Reimu from Maw-Rays. Finally, Esdeath suffers a rather brutal death when Gray and Bea impale her, Akame slashes Esdeath with her blade to inflict the sword's curse on her and then Flandre kills Esdeath by squeezing her fist which causes Esdeath's insides to implode.
