Luckily, he manages to stumble onto Eda's portal and escape... right as Luz is entering the Isles for the first time.

Considering that even ''he'' had no idea where the stuff his Quirk transported went, and that Izuku might have been stuck permanently in the In-Between Realm if he hadn't stumbled onto Eda's portal, it was quite the dick move.
