** For Bakugou and Todoroki, their refusal to cooperate or put their pride aside costs them immensely during the Final Exam, causing them to fail against All Might. Todoroki gets a second strike against him when he encounters Shigaraki and decides to not tell anybody else because 1) he thinks the police already knows anything they need to know about Shigaraki (so they would not care about hearing that he has decided to escalate) and 2) he does not wants to hear Endeavor's inevitable "why you didn't used your fire?" talk.

* LetNoCrisisGoToWaste: Shigaraki and All for One uses Stain's death to gain several followers by launching an attack at Hosu with Nomus.

* NoSympathy: Just like in canon, Aizawa does not gives a damn about Bakugou unleashing potentially lethal force during combat training, other than a growled "don't do it again" to Bakugou and sneering to All Might about being alarmist when he protests about Aizawa being so ''laissez-faire'' about it.

* OutsideContextProblem: A Green Lantern Ring and everything related to it (such as the existence of aliens) is completely beyond the scope of the other characters to figure out and comprehend (at least for now). The only enemies that can cause any problem to Izuku (aside from the occasional rookie mistake) are those who would make All Might break a sweat. Even the people who figure out the truth about Izuku ([[spoiler:such as Bakugou]]) can only think of the Green Lantern Ring in terms of "impossibly advanced super-secret Support Gear made by some smart engineer", which while fitting what it is in ExactWords does not covers the fact that it's [[ImportedAlienPhlebotinum of alien origin]]. In a more humorous example, [[spoiler:Eraserhead decides to face off against Izuku in the Final Exams, thinking that his Erasure Quirk will shut down Izuku's and knock some humility into him. The fact that it does not shuts down the Green Lantern Ring (and Izuku going a bit [[MoreDakka trigger-happy]] with his constructs) knocks the crap out of him. In fact, for the finals, Izuku's greater concern is keeping Eraserhead from realizing that his Quirk has no effect. With Momo's advice, he creates a construct of ''himself'' to serve as a decoy.]]

** During the battle trials, Izuku is paired up with Asui against Todoroki and Shoji. Todoroki's attempts to brute force his way to victory failed due to Izuku's usage of the Green Lantern ring to make warm clothes for Asui and create a copy of Endeavor, defeating the dual-haired teen and his partner.

* ThePowerOfApathy: Shigaraki interrogates Shoto at the mall and reaches his decision of escalating the activities of the League of Villains to kill all Heroes and being fear to the civilians, mostly through rambling to himself and Shoto being apathetic about being held approached by a guy threatening to kill him and anybody he can get his hands on if Shoto makes any sudden moves.

* SecretChaser: Bakugou becomes obsessed with figuring out how that ring works, so that he could reveal it to the world, put Deku in his place and then destroy it. Putting aside the fact that the rings are extremely durable, even if Bakugou does succeed in this endeavor, it's likely the Green Lantern Corps will be ''very'' angry with Bakugou, as regardless of if he wants to be a hero or not, he sabotaged an intergalactic cop's job.

* DisneyOwnsThisTrope: Mt. Lady is outraged by Izuku's use of her likeness for his giant constructs without permission from her or her agency and openly yells about wanting to sue during the Sports Festival. However, this never goes anywhere, nor does she ever confront Izuku himself about it; after the Festival, Mt. Lady's agency receives a ton of positive feedback from fans, who wants merchandise with her "green" design, so rather than getting lawyers involved, she decides to not look a gift horse in the mouth.

* FatalFlaw: For Bakugou and Todoroki, their refusal to cooperate or put their pride aside costs them immensely during the Final Exam, causing them to fail against All Might.

Tales of My Lantera Academia: Emerald Dawn is a crossover between ''Manga/MyHeroAcademia'' and ''ComicBook/GreenLantern'', made by [[https://archiveofourown.org/users/M313/pseuds/M313 M313]][[note]][=Mike313=] of ''Fanfic/SuperwomenOfEva'' fame[[/note]]. Shortly after Izuku has his dreams crushed, he sees a strange craft crash and when arriving, finding a dead alien and a single ring the alien gifted him. He was soon incorporated into the Green Lantern Corps due to his willpower.

* AscendedExtra: The Anti-All Might Nomu escapes its canonical capture due to Kurogiri warping it away with him and Shigaraki.

* BaitAndSwitch: During the Sports Festival, Momo makes a gauntlet similar to Bakugou's, causing Midnight to panic and tell her to not use it. However, Momo pulls the pin and instead of an explosion, sleeping gas comes out of it and knocks Bakugou out like a light.

** Becomes the teacher Momo and Izuku have to face off in the final exam clearly expecting to beat them and hand them ALessonInDefeat. When they hand ''him'' his ass, [[NeverMyFault he absolutely refuses to learn anything from the experience]] and storms off. Present Mic then says he hopes Aizawa will learn something, even if he will never say it aloud.

* BullyingADragon: Aizawa pits both Momo and Izuku against him in the hopes he can teach them a lesson. This is despite the fact the two have bested a Nomu capable of fighting ''All Might'' multiple times. He ends up with the fastest defeat time in history.

* HowTheMightyHaveFallen: Bakugou had expected to get into UA, being the top dog and having no Deku get in his way. Instead, he is forced to see Izuku outshine him at every turn. Not only that, but Izuku is training Momo into becoming an expert combatant with her Quirk. Then, he is knocked out in the first round of the Sports Festival via a BaitAndSwitch gambit, forcing him to get an internship with a hero in the top 500s. Then, to top it all off, his refusal to cooperate with a similarly uncooperative partner and try to sate his ego ends with both him ''and'' Todoroki failing their finals.
