* EroticDream: In Chapter 27, [[spoiler:Kallen has one about Lelouch]].

* DeadlyNosebleed: Caedron has a nosebleed during a party thrown for Lelouch's recent victory in chapter 2, and later we learn that [[spoiler:this is a sign of him suffering from illnesses and is dying.]]

* BrokenAce: As the story goes on, it becomes clear to the readers that while Kallen is a successful leader and brilliant Knightmare pilot, she is also carrying a lot of mental trauma that stems from losing her family at age ten. This became prominent in Chapter 12, where she had a panic attack when Nunnally asked her about her family. [[spoiler:She has a massive attack of PTSD when confronted by Marcus Renfield, the commanding officer who killed her family and nearly raped her, when he introduces himself under a cover identity provided by V.V.]]

* GeneralFailure: Kewell is a good example, every battle that he commands his troops in leads to him making mistakes, creating a lot of casualties that would have easily been prevented had he not been so incompetent, along with eventually resulting in him [[spoiler:getting burnt badly by Zero, resulting in his disgrace and eventual trial, as informed by Jeremiah as he is recovering.]]

** Don't mention Kallen's parents in any capacity. At best, she'll get a passing urge to kill you, at worst, she'll strangle you to death.

* TheCasanova: At first Lelouch is a straight example of this, when he first meets Kallen, but this gets subverted as they get to know each other better, which results in them getting closer.

** Kallen's Zero in this story also differs from Lelouch's Zero from canon in how they operate. While both were {{frontline general}}s, Lelouch's Zero was an average Knightmare pilot while Kallen's Zero is an AcePilot. Kallen's general HotBlooded mentality also contracts Lelouch's cold calculation, which shows in that canon Zero was the master strategist behind the Black Knights while Kallen's Zero is only an okay strategist, with Caedron doing the heavy lifting in that regard.

* {{Foil}}: Kallen and Lelouch to each other. Both are noble half-Britannians who despise the current system and want to see that change, but where they come from and how they operate differs.
** Lelouch was born into the royal family, while Kallen was a bastard who had to fight her way into her family with Caedron's help.
** Lelouch's sister survived the previous attempt on her life and helps anchor her brother to reality, while Kallen lost her brother and struggles with [[RevengeBeforeReason going too far in her thirst for revenge]].
** Lelouch is AFatherToHisMen in his many interactions with those of The Black Knights/Army Group vi Britannia, where as Kallen's relationship with the Noppera-bō (barring Caedron) is far more cold and professional.
** Lastly, the outcomes they want also differ, as while Lelouch wants to change the system from within and do away with the corruption, Kallen wants to completely wipe it out in the hopes that a more ideal government will rise from the ashes.

* ForegoneConclusion: In relation to the above, we know that Kallen and Lelouch will be a couple, that Kallen's identity as Zero will be revealed in the near future, and that they are the rulers of future Britannia. As well as that they have the grand kids that Marianne wants. [[spoiler:It also becomes blatantly obvious that Caedron will not live out the fic, and is outright confirmed when he reveals that he's dying]].

* GuiltComplex: Caedron has quite the chip on his shoulders in regards to guilt. Though it’s understandable considering he used to be [[spoiler:one of the four horsemen for Emperor Charles that involved doing many illicit activities on the Geass Order’s behalf.]]

* OCStandIn: Marika Soresi and her friend Liliana Vergamon, being part of the Knights of Idris, along with the First Princess of Britannia Guinevere su Britannia being among the most prominent examples.

** Allison/Sayoko states that she is [[Manga/BlackButler Simply one hell of a maid]] in chapter 12.

* AdaptationNameChange: Sayako goes by Allison here, since she's Japanese and it would be improper for Lelouch to have a non-Britannian for a maid.

** Lelouch is considered one of Britannia's greatest generals, if not the very best. He's a master tactician and Knightmare pilot who can match the likes of Kallen in unarmed combat, and had a perfect success record prior to his encounters with Zero.

* TheDreaded:
** Lelouch is highly feared even amongst his siblings. His military accomplishments have led to him being called "The Demon Prince".

* BadassArmy: Both Lelouch’s personal army and Zero’s group The Noppera-bō qualify. As both armies are well trained, well equipped and are led by brilliant leaders.

* ExiledToTheCouch: Sayoko threatens Jeremiah with this on at least one occasion.

* BerserkButton: Lelouch (unsurprisingly) has one when it comes to anyone harming Nunnally. He also get angry at those who insult and/or threaten Kallen.

* MasterOfIllusion: Kallen's Geass lets her conjure illusions that affect targets in a certain radius.

* ArchEnemy: V.V. and Lelouch, although Lelouch is still unaware of it. It seems the only thing preventing V.V. from actually dealing with Lelouch himself is Charles. [[spoiler:Cat's out of the bag. With Kallen's identity as Zero exposed in the aftermath of the Kawaguchi incident, Caedron was forced to cough up information on the Geass Order and the Noppera-Bo and now Lelouch has a name for his mother's killer.]]

* AFatherToHisMen: Lelouch to a T. So much so that he spends time donating blood and talking with his men and women like he was one of them. Another good example of this is shown in Chapter 26, when he is talking to his men and chatting with them casually, in comparison to Zero’s dialogue with her subordinates at the same time being more professional and aloof.
