Logan crafts it - and the bomb's message is that it is an "[[ExpospeakGag exothermic reaction device]]", a scientific term none of the Death Eaters understand. Cue KillEmAll.

* IsaneTrollLogic: Dumbledore is of the opinion that taking Potions lessons from Snape increases Harry's trust in Dumbledore. Exactly how he came to the conclusion that forcing a boy to spend time with someone who openly hates him and makes him miserable and refusing to improve the situation makes the boy trust him is... unclear.

* BoobyTrap: [[spoiler:Malfoy wants to use the Vanishing cabinet to let several Death Eaters get into Hogwarts undetected. Harry charms some wood pieces and exchanges them with original cabinet's parts with this idea in mind. The results are quite... [[{{Gorn}} fatal]], let's say.]]

* ButThouMust: Jean tells Harry he does not have to go back to Britain or to Hogwarts, but in the end they all but force him to return. Of course, Jean knows that Harry's idea (to go to school in America and then vanish from the magical world) is naive, and she wants him to confront his problems.
