Added DiffLines:

* ItsAllAboutMe: Umbridge attempts to take credit for the successful Defence marks the previous year, naturally completely ignoring that it was Harry's teachings that were responsible for that success.

Added DiffLines:

* RelatedInTheAdaptation: Jean Grey is Lily Evans' twin sister, and thus Harry's aunt.
* ReleasingFromThePromise: While wizards are normally not permitted to use magic in Gringotts, Harry is excused from his use of magic during a visit to the bank as he acted to protect a goblin from a Death Eater.

** Example: Draco Malfoy is tattooed "Dumbledore's toy" in the arse and sent naked to Voldemort with a Portkey intended for Pansy Parkinson. Upon Malfoy's return, Dumbledore proceeds to tell the school that such an attack will not go unpunished. In the meantime, ever since school started, Slytherin students have been attacking (or trying to attack) Muggleborn and half-blood students, and Dumbledore has not said anything.

* NoWomansLand: The Death Eaters consider witches to basically be brood mares, with their main role to be concubines and mothers to the future wizarding society.

* WellIntentionedExtremist: Dumbledore, who is completely unwilling to let any control he might have over Harry slip away, has little empathy for all the suffering Harry has gone through, and is only willing to help any Death Eater that ''might'' repent over the innocents that are being killed and injured by them, just because he thinks it is for the best of the Magical World.

His monologues show this as a misplaced, and increasingly desperate, desire to save the wizarding world from being almost completely depleted of purebloods after the war, due to his belief that the magical world needs a healthy mix of purebloods and muggleborn to keep going.

* MrFanservice: Harry after the summer he spent with the X-Men. A good lot of the girls in the school are left drooling when they see Harry running around the lake without a shirt on, and most are rather put out when Ginny manages to snag him.

'''''[[https://www.fanfiction.net/s/7404056/1/Mutant-Storm Mutant Storm]]''''' by [[https://www.fanfiction.net/u/777540/Bobmin356 Bobmin356]] is a Franchise/HarryPotter[=/=]Franchise/XMen {{Crossover}} fanfiction that considers what might happen if Jean Grey was Lily Evans' twin sister.

The story
begins right after Harry's meeting with Dumbledore at the end of Literature/HarryPotterAndTheOrderOfThePhoenix. The stress caused on him by the combination of having to handle both Sirius' death and that conversation are enough to activate something within him, that allows the revelation of the Prophecy causes him to develop the ability to "phase" through objects any object and teleport to any place. Having to go back place he has been in. Returning to the Dursleys helps does little in regards to help him to recover from all the damage caused by recent events - and his psychological health, even if he can keep them away with his newfound abilities.

Meanwhile, at the other side of the Atlantic,
friends' outright lying to him about their summer activities pretty much shatters him.

This does not go undetected:
Professor Charles Xavier and Jean Grey manage to detect the psychic energy emitted by Harry, and, with the aid of Cerebro, Harry emits, which begins to break a memory block in Jean's mind. Charles manages reveals to find out what is going on, only for him to be forced - not too unwillingly - to reveal a secret he has had to keep for more than twenty years: Jean Grey is actually Lily Potter's (née Evans) twin sister, and she also has the ability to use magic. The reason why neither Jean nor her biological family remembered the connection was because that Dumbledore and he met the Evans when Jean and Lily were eleven, and upon deciding how to act (Lily would go to Hogwarts, Jean to Charles' school), Dumbledore foolishly used a [[LaserGuidedAmnesia an [[LaserGuidedKarma Obliviate charm]] on the entire family to make them Evans, making the parents, Lily and Petunia forget about Jean was an Evans. and leading to Jean decides forgetting about her family.

Deciding
to do the correct thing and get right thing, Jean takes Harry out of England, to take care of in and brings him to America, so he can heal, find more about the world and get him out of his funk. However, train with Voldemort still on the loose, both his mutant powers and a war in the horizon that his magic. Harry will wants to have little to get involved do with the British Magical world, but, no matter what he thinks, desires, war will be coming to him, so the X-Men will have to go eventually bring Harry back to Britain and help Harry...
to aid him in this momentous task.

* AntiHero: Harry tends to be this, mostly following Logan's lead.
* AntiVillain: Dumbledore. He tries to be a good person, and believes he has the good interests of Britain in his mind, but Harry rightfully points out that the way he does things (manipulating people, keeping tracking charms on Harry after saying he would stop using them, giving Death Eaters free reign while hoping they will repent on their own) do not exactly tell "good intentions".
** Several narrative lines about Dumbledore's thought-processes regarding Harry are quite disturbing. To wit, when he is forced to reveal to the Order that Harry was severely abused at the Dursleys, one of his thoughts is remembering that he had asked them to ''tone down'' the abuse, and that, ''for the most part'' they complied. And he considered this a ''good outcome''!
