* EnemyMine - One of Emerald's off lines mentioned a brief alliance he had with the Sailor Senshi against an intergalactic conqueror who controlled his entire army through brainwashing. It lasted less than an hour and was described as ending in disaster. He also has a brief and unintentional one with Sailor Mars during one of their last battles when they work to save a child who gets caught in the middle. It leads to a brief moment when they both realise just how meaningless their battles have become. --> What you will become is not about what you are, or who you are, or who are thought to be. My life, like anyone's life, has been a series of choices and consequences.
--> After the rebellion, it came down to this:
--> If I had done nothing, I would have lived - albeit in exile. If I fought the Senshi directly without allies, I would have died. And if I fought from the shadows, then one day it was possible that I might get my lucky shot and win. That, then, left me a clear choice - to do nothing, or to do what I can.

* CharacterDerailment - Of the future Senshi, and the claimed {{utopia}} future of Crystal Tokyo. No, changing their outlook and philosophy to the direct opposite of their canonical (in both anime and manga canon) acceptance of the world as it is, with all of its flaws and sorrows is not an AlternateCharacterInterpretation, it's adding them to the company of RonTheDeathEater.
** It could also be argued that all of Emerald's plots ''did'' happen during the canon Dark Kingdom Arc, but off-screen and in slightly different ways than portrayed in the story, and that the Crystal Tokyo seen at the beginning and throughout the story was in effect a failed prototype that needed to be destroyed (note how there's no mention of Chibi-Usa ''anywhere'', even in the 30th century, which gives credence that it may in fact be an alternate timeline). [[spoiler:This would mean that the canon Sailor Moon timeline that we've seen is a result of Emerald's and (especially) Setsuna's manipulations, and that 'free choice' was something Usagi and the others learned and held dear this time around. Yukio (Emerald) appears again only four years after the Dark Kingdom (as said by Rei), which sets the epilogue post-Galaxia and explains why he wasn't seen in the series. Crystal Tokyo still exists in the future, but in a different (and better) form. There are many problems and inconsistencies with this theory, but it's probably the best way to explain the behavior of the Senshi besides resorting to KnightTemplar and RonTheDeathEater.]]
