* From WesternAnimation/StarWarsTheCloneWars:
** Many of the Jedi featured in The Clone Wars are extremely popular with the fans as a result of them being fleshed out and receiving AscendedExtra roles:
*** Plo Koon was this to supervising director Creator/DaveFiloni, and his fleshed out AscendedExtra role in The Clone Wars made him one in the eyes of the fans too thanks to his awesome design, Gandalf-like personality, and being AFatherToHisMen.
*** Luminara Unduli is popular among fans for her voice, beautiful design, expanded role from the Prequels, wise mentorship, and LadyOfWar style.
*** Kit Fisto is very popular with the fans due to his laid-back personality, design, Jamaican accent, and voice as a result of receiving an expanded role.
*** Aayla Secura is popular among fans for being an attractive BlueSkinnedSpaceBabe her voice, ADayInTheLimelight her character being expanded upon and her ability to kick ass.
*** Ki-Adi Mundi is popular for ADayInTheLimelight his expanded role and being able to one-up both Anakin and Ahsoka in the Second Battle of Geonosis.
*** Barriss Offee is popular among fans for her pretty yet adorable design, role as a foil to Ahsoka and [[spoiler: tragic fall from grace in the Season 5 finale]].
*** Shaak Ti garnered a lot of popularity for her AMotherToHerMen kind personality and her badassery.
*** Ima-Gun Di only appeared in a single episode, .
** Many of the Clone Troopers in The Clone Wars are also popular with fans thanks to the characterization that the series gave them:
*** Rex is very popular for being a clone Jango more than the others with his twin pistols, his good snark, his bond with Anakin Skywalker and the amount of moral choices he has throughout The Clone Wars. .
** Domino Squad is also very popular with fans thanks to their breakout appearance in ”Rookies”, which lead to an OriginsEpisode and their continued stories throughout The Clone Wars.
*** Hevy gained many fans for being the team's BloodKnight and .
*** Fives & Echo gained fans in future stories as they both went from rookies to ARC Troopers, especially for Fives in the Umbara arc & , and [[spoiler: Echo's return in the Bad Batch arc]].
*** Cody became popular as Obi-Wan's second-in-command and their relationship being fleshed out.
*** Waxer and Boil are also popular among fans (especially for Boil's development) for when they helped Numa in the Ryloth arc, and even had a few cameos in later episodes.
*** Cut Lawquane, the Clone deserter who abandoned the war effort to start a family, only appeared once but is very well remembered, and even got an indirect mention in Aftermath.
*** Keeli, the clone commander under Ima-Gun Di on Ryloth. While supplies are negotiated off-planet, he and his Jedi Master make the most of being One Episode Wonders by holding the droid army off at all costs, with Keeli flatly refusing to leave his commander .
*** Gregor is well remembered for his tragic backstory and the epic reclamation of his old identity, .
*** Commander Thorn, anyone? He only appeared in one episode "Crisis at the Heart", and only possessed a few minutes of screen time. .
** The battle droids are so funny that it's really hard to dislike them. Linked to them are the commando droids, who quickly became popular with fans for being the battle droids only completely fricking badass. The same goes for both the T-series Tactical droids and the Super Tactical droids, who are like the battle droids only cold, calculating intimidating generals.
** Hondo Ohnaka became very popular with the fans for his hammy, greedy yet caring personality. His popularity went UpToEleven in "Revival" and then even more so after "A Necessary Bond." The man snarks at the Sith, how can we not like him?
** Riyo Chuchi didn't show up often, but her being a golden eyed BlueSkinnedSpaceBabe with a South African accent, her voice and her defying Chairman Cho to make peace with the Talz made her stand out from the crowd.
** Numa the Twi'lek girl from “Innocents of Ryloth”, is very popular for being a Moe and a HeartwarmingOrphan, despite only showing up in one episode. She even returned in Rebels as one of the best warriors in Cham Syndulla's Resistance.
** Cad Bane is one of the most popular characters in The Clone Wars as a mix of Jango Fett and Creator/LeeVanCleef with a cool voice, unusually sinister tendencies, and characteristics of spaghetti-western villains.
** Admiral Trench is a popular villian due to being a clever tactician dangerous enough to necessitate a Jedi-led task force just to defeat him in the backstory of The Clone Wars. .
** The mercenary Embo from "Bounty Hunters" was a OneSceneWonder with acrobatics to make a Jedi jealous, a NiceHat that serves as a blaster-proof shield & as a PrecisionGuidedBoomerang, and the fact that he even took on Darth Maul and survived (though it was partly because Maul let he and the others go, because they were bounty hunters and not their true adversaries).
*** His anooba Marrok is also pretty popular for not only giving Embo a badass pet, but also having an adorable personality outside of battle.
** The Zillo Beast has an impressive following for an animal, though anything that can tell Palpatine is evil and tries to do something about it earns our respect.
** Asajj Ventress gained a large amount of new fans for being a DarkActionGirl alongside her development from a Dark Sided protegee to a more chaotic neutral personality.
** The Ones (the Father, the Son, and the Daughter) from the Mortis trilogy. Despite only appearing in three episodes, they are among the most memorable characters in The Clone Wars due to their linking into the lore of the Force itself.
** Pong Krell only appeared in the Umbara arc but is very well remembered, [[spoiler: in no small part due to how fantastically loathsome he is]].
** In addition to retaining his popularity from the Prequel films, Darth Maul’s portrayal, voice, design, and fleshed out AscendedExtra role in The Clone Wars have made him even more popular with the fans.
*** Savage Opress is quite popular with fans too. The fact that he's Darth Maul's brother helps.
** A few of the one-arc villains are also quite popular. Riff Tamson and Osi Sobek are two good examples; Tamson was effectively Clone Wars micro-series Grievous as a shark and was both so badass and unlikeable at the same time that he was an excellent villain, while Sobek was a very savvy villain running a prison that was quite a bit harder to escape from than your usual CardboardPrison, and like the above Tamson, wasn't afraid to get his own hands dirty.
** The group of Jedi youngings from the Young Jedi arc were very popular with fans, particularly due to being BadassAdorable.
* WesternAnimation/StarWarsRebels:
** Kitwarr, the Wookiee child Ezra saves in the pilot.
** Zare Leonis, the ReverseMole Stormtrooper-in-training.
** The Seventh Sister for being a delightfully CreepyAwesome villain voiced by Creator/SarahMichelleGellar.
** Baron Valen Rudor, likely for being a s with personality and being a ButtMonkey. In fact, he's one of the first characters introduced, having been a main character in the Ezra's promotional short, "Property of Ezra Bridger". Fans rejoiced when he unexpectedly returned in Season 4.
** Lt. Yogar Lyste got some respect when he came back in "A Princess on Lothal" as being one of the most competent Imperials shown onscreen, clearly wanting to do his job as well as he can despite any possible misgivings he has of anything, in comparison to most of the other officers that lost usually due to ego. Carried over when he became an AscendedExtra for Season 3.
** Kalani did not have this status back in The Clone Wars, but built up as one prior to the airing of "The Last Battle" by virtue of being the super tactical droid leader of a Separatist holdout, as Separatist droids and holdouts have had been long awaited to see in the Rebel-Imperial Era.
** Minister Tua had this status back in Season 1 (especially on Tumblr, for some reason, probably due to Moe; 4chan apparently thinks she's hot), and despite the short amount of screentime she had, her Wook page is actually considering nominating her page as a featured article and her voice actor was nominated for Best Female Vocal Performance in a Television Series in a Supporting Role -– Action/Drama on Website/IMDb.
** When she was first seen in the preview for "Iron Squadron", many fell in love with Gooti's design, especially since she was the TokenNonHuman in the group. Though after the episode aired, she seems to have fallen out of favor, though some agree her design is still great. Being a ShoutOut to Andi, the lovable host of Rebels Recon, certainly gives her brownie points as well.
** Azmorigan, apparently. Out of all the villains in Rebels, Azmorigan won the best villain poll on the Star Wars website. He's become a sort of a MemeticBadass or enjoyable joke character for some, though for the part of the fanbase that has little tolerance for the shenanigans in the show, however, he's one of the Scrappies.
** Imperial Captain Brunson in "Ghost of Geonosis". Fans who mistaken her as Rae Sloane at first glance were not disappointed to learn that there was another visible Imperial woman of color given some prominence, notably the first one on-screen. Her professional rookie quirks helps.
** Fenn Rau became one in Season 3 for his Mandalorian badassery and basically being Sabine's new space-uncle. Also, he's voiced by Creator/KevinMcKidd of Franchise/CallOfDuty and Series/Rome (and Series/GreysAnatomy, to a lesser extent in this fandom) fame.
** Thanks to being [[spoiler:Fulcrum and having his redemption arc]], Agent Kallus has been this a lot more than he has in previous seasons, to the point that his sudden EnsembleDarkhorse status (combined with his smirk and loose hair lock in the Season 3 finale) ended up being a bit of a meme even in the grander fandom and the writing crew itself, naming the phenomenon, [=#HotKallus=], on Twitter.

* From the comics and EU material:
** Sidon Ithano, aka the Crimson Corsair, who appears briefly in the The Force Awakens and offers Finn a job on board his ship, is fairly well-liked for his wicked cool design and appearance. It helps that he's an InUniverse MemeticBadass and AFatherToHisMen, who, in his Force Awakens tie-in story, willingly gives up his escape pod in a collapsing spaceship for his crew- and escapes anyway. Not to mention that his tie-in story reveals that [[spoiler:Kix from The Clone Wars found out about Order 66 after Fives did and was captured by the Separatists, only for an accident caused him to go into cryostasis into the time of the Sequel Trilogy]]. A surprising number of people wished that Finn had joined Ithano's crew because of how awesome they are.
** Dr. Aphra, Triple Zero, and Beetee, for striking a great balance between hilarious and terrifying. Became strong enough that Aphra got her own comic series with Triple Zero and Beetee as major characters, and Triple Zero and Beetee got a mini-comic of their own. Aphra also won a Creator/Hasbro poll and got her own action figure as a result, even beating out the fan favorite Ahsoka Tano.
