After thinking about it, this is not a good example as the thing is every single leftist organization would draw this sort of scrutiny for multiple reasons and get heat from everyone else on the political spectrum for their supposed shortcomings or toxic organizing cultures. The PSL seems to get heat from multiple leftist spectrums because it's arguably one of the bigger Communist organizations in the US. However, I'd say the opposition towards Singham is a good example of moderate or non-tankie leftists and patsocs agreeing on going against one person

** Both progressive anti-authoritarian leftists(especially anarchists) and reactionary authoritarian Patriotic Socialists, despite being complete ideological opposites, hate the Party for Socialism and Liberation([=PSL=]). Anti-authoritarian leftists hate the [=PSL=] for supposedly trying to influence every single major progressive movement in the US via the ANSWER Coalition, having a toxic organizing culture, whitewashing the Soviet Union, and defending every single regime opposed to the United States regardless of their socialist and progressive credentials and existing economic ties with the US undermining any anti-US opposition(with the [=PSL=]'s views on Russia, Iran, Syria, and the [=PRC=] being singled out). Patriotic Socialists hate the [=PSL=] for seeming overreliance on staging protests and reaching out to progressives and other leftists over more socially conservative Americans, supposedly "woke" socially progressive policies, unabashed anti-America attitudes, not going far enough in taking a pro-Russian stance during the 2022 escalation of the Russo-Ukrainian war, and their refusal to work with American libertarians and far-rightists that may have a positive view on Russia or subscribe to isolationist politics[[note]]The justification here by [=PatSocs=] being that supposedly, the existing sympathy for Vladimir Putin in American conservative and far-right circles make the American right more willing allies to work with in fermenting a pro-Russia movement, and that Marxist-Leninists should put "opposing the primary contradiction of imperialism" above opposing socially reactionary trends. Both claims are derided elsewhere as smokescreen for bigoted behavior on the part of [=PatSocs=], and the [=PSL=](and by extension other anti-Patsoc Marxist-Leninists) for their part argues that said strategy would prevent an anti-US geopolitical bloc from ever materializing because it would result in Russia pivoting towards an anti-China and outright Sinophobic American far-right and subsequently lead to China's isolation on the world stage.[[/note]] because of the far-right and bigoted views present in the latter groups. ** There is a noteworthy divide on the left between a larger group on the left advocating for a one state solution[[note]]where Israel is entirely subsumed into a secular Palestine governed by a constitution offering equal rights to both Jews and Palestinians[[/note]], and a smaller group[[note]]primarily tied to old school social democratic, Labour Zionist, and moderate democratic socialist currents[[/note]] that supports the two solution and is even supportive of Zionism to a degree. This is because of the perception in these circles that "New Antisemitism" is a legitimate issue on the left, that a fully pro-Palestinian platform would not garner much support in America, where the population leans strongly pro-Israel, that Zionism cannot entirely be seen as a settler-colonial ideology, that the one state solution is unfeasible and/or naive as it stands, and that groups like Hamas would always oppose any secular constitution providing any rights to Jews. This divide became very apparent following the October 7 attack on Israel by Hamas with the leftists supporting a two-state solution supporting the destruction of Hamas and prioritizing the return of hostages captured by Hamas over a ceasefire, with the pro-two state currents on the left claiming that Hamas would always be a threat to any peace process regardless of legitimate critiques that could be made about either the Netanyahu government or the proportionality of Israel's response.

This is because of the perception in these circles that Zionism cannot entirely be seen as a settler-colonial ideology, that the one state solution is unfeasible and/or naive as it stands, and that Hamas had never genuinely abandoned their original charter[[note]]which contained extremely antisemitic rhetoric, by contrast their revised charter seemingly emphasizes opposing the government of Israel over Jews in the area as a whole[[/note]] despite all claims of doing so and would also oppose any secular constitution providing any rights to Jews.

* During the 2022 midtern election cycle, Dick Cheney released a video in which he endorsed the primary campaign of his daughter, Liz Cheney, one of the few anti-Trump Republicans in Congress at the time, and attacked Trump. The video appears to have backfired however, as it instead led to both leftist progressives and anti-interventionist conservatives coming together to attack Dick Cheney for his role in sanctioning the Iraq War. If you use an extension to view [=YouTube=] dislikes, you can see that [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V9nAnju6Kqw CNN's video covering it]] has a rating of [=2/3s=] dislikes and a comments section filled with harsh criticism of Cheney, while the [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H6Nq9SpGzic upload of the video]] on Liz Cheney's [=YouTube=] channel has both ratings and comments disabled, presumably due to the negative backlash. Incidentally, when Liz Cheney lost her primary to a Trump-endorsed Republican candidate, anti-interventionist left-wingers seemed just as amused as right-wingers to see her go given her neoconservative stances on foreign policy.

Anti-authoritarian leftists hate the [=PSL=] for supposedly trying to influence every single major progressive movement in the US via the ANSWER Coalition, having a toxic organizing culture, whitewashing the Soviet Union, and defending every single regime opposed to the United States regardless of their socialist and progressive credentials and existing economic ties with the US undermining any anti-US opposition(with the [=PSL=]'s views on Russia, Iran, Syria and the [=PRC=] being singled out).
