* Louis Walsh in the ''Celebrity Big Brother'' revival series in 2024. He went up for eviction three times, but as it was vote to save rather than vote to evict, managed to survive each one. Then on St. Patrick's Day, Big Brother asked a random housemate to come to the Diary Room, where they were given a secret task that involved choosing a housemate to evict by putting a toy snake on their bed; Fern Britton was the one who went, and she chose Louis. It was then revealed that the chosen housemate had luck on their side, and Louis was not only made immune to this round's nominations but was also guaranteed a place in the final. A lot of viewers believe that the producers knew that Louis was unlikely to go to the Diary Room in that instance, and that anyone else who went would choose him to evict, and had intentionally set things up to send him to the final. Although after the upcoming eviction took place, it was revealed that there was going to be a shock eviction based purely on the public vote, with Louis being included among the remaining celebrities to vote for.

for. He was saved yet again, though.
* There was also Fern Britton herself, who also had to face the public vote three times, and ended up unpopular with viewers during the last week of the show. Yet despite this, and the chants of "Get Fern out!" on the last eviction night, she had enough votes to stay in, and also enough votes to avoid the shock eviction that same week.

* Jag in 25, especially so since he had been evicted in Week 4 unanimously but was kept in the game due to Matt's power of invincibility. Once Cameron, the biggest comp threat in the game, was evicted, Jag would go on to win a majority of the competitions afterwards.

* Pawn star Brittnee in Season 3 even lampshaded this, having finished in 4th despite being nominated 6 times.
* Zach, also from Season 3. He has great social and physical game and ''everyone'' knows this, but they all seem to find different reasons for keeping him. His alliance and several other guys felt they could work with him until it got closer to the end, and Sarah and Britnee both felt there were more important targets in front of him. The only person who seems to only be gunning for Zach is Godfrey, but if he keeps on throwing competitions he'll never get the chance! Though it doesn't matter for Godfrey anyway, since Zach evicted in 6th in Sarah's first [=HOH=].

* Paul joined the list as of Season 19. He served as a surprise last-minute addition to the house that was ''seeded'' into the game due to being so popular last season (he won the popularity vote and received a cash prize) after Kevin took a money temptation with an unknown consequence- Paul being that consequence- and he was allowed to replace whoever got kicked out in a surprise and unprecedented night one elimination as the full extent of the punishment. Then, proving he's their golden boy, in the week to follow, America chose to offer him the Pendant of Protection as a temptation. It gave him immunity for three weeks and he didn't have to reveal it if he didn't want to. Cody tried to nominate him up for eviction the very same week he got the pendant. Not only did Cody's plan backfire spectacularly when the pendant went into play, but Paul effectively turned the entire house against Cody in return.
** Which then ''flipped'' when Cody won the Battle-Back Competition and competed against Paul for a shot at returning to the house, and won. Thus, Paul ''and'' Cody are Elimination Houdinis and [[DramaticIrony cancelled each other out!]]
* Going into week 8 of Season 19, Mark had several Houdini moments - when viewed as a potential target for eviction by Paul, Josh, and Alex, he won two Temptation Competitions and a Veto competition, giving him immunity for those respective weeks. Then, during week 8's double eviction event, he was nominated by Jason - to the delight of Josh - and absolutely ''dominated'' the Veto challenge, saving himself yet again.
* Kevin in Season 19 had two huge moments back-to-back during Double Eviction Week when it seemed like he was the target in mind. The first time he went up on the block was as a nomination replacement beside Jason, and then again as Alex's clear target with Raven as a pawn. However, it turned out that Alex was playing into the hands of Paul and Christmas and these were ploys to use ''Kevin'' as a pawn to get Jason and Raven out all in the same move. Paul is upset that he did this and legitimately cried afterward, but in terms of his game, he couldn't be any more happy, while Kevin now trusts Paul enough to throw the next HOH competition, making Paul on the verge of losing it from excitement. Kevin ultimately goes on to place fourth in the season.
* From Celebrity Big Brother 1, we have every single guy that's not Chuck. Every week it seemed like the women (and Ross) had the upper hand especially in the beginning but rather than stick together and Pagong the guys one by one (like many guys and even a few girls did to the girls in the past) they turned on each other because Shannon was "shady", Omarossa was controlling, and Ross saw himself rightfully so as a third wheel. James especially though as he was put up three times and only taken out by a near unanimous vote in the episode before the recap. And this is a guy who came close to winning nearly [[TheAce every]] competition.
* Tyler Crispen in Season 20 joins the list when he manages to sidestep many easy opportunities for someone to put him up on the block in the pre-jury stage while playing both sides of the house. In Week 6, the game goes into a two-week twist with the H@cker comp, with Haleigh winning the first of three competitions. As soon as the H@cker twist goes into effect, Haleigh nominates Tyler in secret, but no less than ''five'' allies go into the following Veto Competition with intent to pull him off the block. On top of that, it's the luxury competition, giving these people even more control over who gets the POV. Angela is the one who has it at the end of the competition, and Tyler is easily saved. He remains a target when Haleigh becomes HOH, but is in possession of the Cloud, a Power App he received in the second week of the game that will let him cancel a nomination of his choice up to the ninth Veto ceremony, which gives him an additional level of insurance. In Week 7, Haleigh tries to backdoor him in vain, not realizing he has the Power App, only for both the H@cker to become his ally Kaycee ''and'' the Veto to magically land in his lap, thanks to an IdiotBall move by Rockstar. The idiocy of the Hive versus Level Six allows Level Six to dodge eviction three weeks straight and Tyler doesn't even need to invoke his Power App by the deadline to use it, which results in it expiring.

* Season 23’s Derek F and Azah can be considered this as well. First the two of them got a free pass to the final six for being part of the Cookout alliance, during which they won zero competitions and didn’t have to do any real manipulation, unlike the rest of their alliance (Azah had to let go of her friend Britini, the first on their target list, and then didn’t have to befriend or manipulate anyone else. Derek F didn’t have to manipulate anyone at all.) Then at final six, Kyland made the decision to try to take the biggest threat Xavier to the end, and tried to prove his worth to Xavier by getting out his biggest ally Tiffany. Then Xavier threw the double eviction HOH to Azah so that he would be eligible for the final four HOH, and Azah used that opportunity to get Hannah out. Then Xavier cut Kyland at final four for being his only actual threat left at that point, leading to Derek F and Azah getting second and third place against all odds.

* Taylor was pretty much this in 24 - and one of the few ones to win. She faced the block a total of ''six times'', but almost every time was saved by some form of hail mary (Paloma's NonGameplayElimination, Ameerah&Nicole flipping the votes against Pooch, the Leftovers, Monte choosing to take her over Turner) and until the leftovers, was shunned by almost everyone. However, she managed to win by playing a social game - having less of a visible resumé than fellow houseguests Monte and Turner, but willing to actually speak with more people in the game.

** His fiancée (and eventual wife) Rachel, winner in season 13, who was nominated 5 times. Week 4 and 6; Brendon took a bullet for her. Week 5; Kalia put up a pawn that ended up going home ([[WhatAnIdiot per his request]]). She was put up again at the Double Eviction; she got saved on a tiebreaker. She managed to win the season after the most blatantly contrived bailout or biggest luck spree ever in the history of Big Brother, in addition to an alliance with Porsche later on.

* The way that series works is that everyone casts two nominations, and the ones with the most nominations are put up on the block, against public voting. Some contestants actually ''do'' receive a large number of nominations or are put up on the block (sometimes consecutively) against the public vote, but manage to survive, or never receive ''enough'' from fellow houseguests to be nominated. (Rex and Mohamed in ''2008'' for example received ''plenty'' of nominations but never enough at one point)

She didn't even tell anyone else how to free him!

Rockstar. The idiocy of the Hive versus Level Six allows Level Six to dodge eviction three weeks straight and Tyler doesn't even need to invoke his Power App by the deadline to use it, which results in it expiring.
