-> "What is the Flow? The Flow, is the system of this world that allows everything happen, birth, death, miracle, or magic. In the center of the Flow there is the Origin and people say those who can control everything it existent. Everything can be connected to the origin in any kind of way. Perhaps one may say humanity's existence itself is a subconcious quest to find, understand, and possibly control it.

-> "Many scientists, philosophers, alchemists, and magicians like me have searched for it for their lifetime, but none of them managed to actually find it.

-> "This is London, 1998 May 5th, and I found a boy who might have possibly contacted the Origin.

Jang Hyun Soo is not exactly what you would call an OrdinaryHighSchoolStudent. When he was 7, he went to travel to London, where he was attacked by a vampire named Roi'd, got his soul sucked out, but thanks to a passerby wizard Marcus and his assistance Judas Baker, he managed to come back from the death after a half-year coma.

Hyun Soo then says he has seen some light and massive influx of knowledge which he had never heard of it. Marcus theorizes that he has reached the Origin (see above quote), which has been the goal of, possibly, the humanity itself. To protect him from other factions who might possibly want him, especially The Council, a corrupt wizard communities that uses amoral means to reach the Origin, Marcus decides that he follow him to Korea, where he teaches Hyun-Soo various skills, such as magic and martial arts, as a mean to protect himself and, he hopes, to control possible side-effects of reaching the Origin.

Ten years passed, and all is (as far as the protagonists know) fine and Hyun Soo has grown into an excellent student. It also turned out that his possibe contact with the Origin gave him the power to sense supernaturality, which annoys him from time to time. Despite all that, he was enjoying rather ordinary life, albeit with quite eccentric friends, until a series of mysterious and gruesome murders started in the town, with victims being either eaten or chopped into many parts. Hyun Soo was considering just staying out of the whole thing until one of his friend got nearly killed by the murderer and Marcus' suggestion that this whole thing may have to do with Roi'd and John himself.

Just like that, he participates in the search for the murderer, throwing themselves into the elaborate plan by whoever is responsible for the case, which just snowballs from there. Also some of people close to John have something that more than meets the eyes.....

TheFlow is a more or less a CrackFic that orignally started as an excuse setting where the author can use AS MANY TROPES as possible. Needless to say, HilarityEnsues.

Just like that, he participates in the search for the murderer, throwing themselves into the elaborate plan by whoever is responsible for the case, which just snowballs from there. Also some of people close to Hyun-Soo have something that more than meets the eyes.....

* Badass: In all shapes, but special mention goes for Judas, who has started as a BadassNormal and stayed as one, all the while swiping through all the Eldritch Abominations abound in the story.
** BadassAbnormal: Defied by who refuses getting upgrades because he doesn't need them...while in actuality he just don't like getting injected.
** BadassAdorable: Sherry, Moe adorable younger sister of John, is very proficient with sword, and can deal some heavy telekinetic damge. John himself might count as well, due to him being so Adorkabley socially awkward.
** BadassAngster: John and Marcus is not very comfortable with the choices that they make. In fact, the as a whole counts.
** BadassBack: Judas
** BadassBeard: Xavier Soren
** BadassBiker: Judas
** BadassBoast: Almost from everyone at least once.
** BadassBookworm: John. He's an honor student who is very competent in martial arts and basic sorcery.
** BadassFamily: the Sorens, the Sanctions, and .
** BadassMustache: Alexander Soren
** BadassNormal: Most Kung Fu Wizards in the series can all fight very competently to some degree, but special mention goes to John and who are much stronger when powered down. Still, none of them holds a candle to Judas.

Jang Hyun-Soo is not exactly what you would call an OrdinaryHighSchoolStudent. When he was 7, he went to travel to London, where he was attacked by a vampire named Roi'd, got his soul sucked out, but thanks to a passerby wizard and his assistance John Baker, he managed to come back from the death after a half-year coma.

Hyun-Soo then says he has seen some light and massive influx of knowledge which he had never heard of it.

Ten years passed, and all is (as far as the protagonists know) fine and Hyun-Soo has grown into an excellent student. It also turned out that his possibe contact with the Origin gave him the power to sense supernaturality, which annoys him from time to time. Despite all that, he was enjoying rather ordinary life, albeit with quite eccentric friends, until a series of mysterious and gruesome murders started in the town, with victimes being either eaten or chopped into many parts. Hyun-Soo was considering just staying out of the whole thing until one of his friend got nearly killed by the murderer and Marcus' suggestion that this whole thing may have to do with Roi'd and Hyun-Soo himself.
