Annable worked primarily at Creator/LucasArts from 1994 to 2004. On the side, he created ComicBook/Grickle a collection of comics featuring the simple, expressive, bug-eyed characters that would become his signature style. After [=LucasArts=] canceled the original incarnation of VideoGame/SamAndMaxFreelancePolice (on which he worked as a lead animator), Annable left the company to become the first creative director of Creator/TelltaleGames, a position he held for roughly a year.

Graham Annable (born June 1, 1970) is a Canadian cartoonist and animator who has worked in movies, TV and video games.

Annable worked primarily at Creator/LucasArts from 1994 to 2004. On the side, he created the ComicBook/Grickle comics, featuring the simple, expressive, bug-eyed characters that would become his signature style. After [=LucasArts=] canceled the original incarnation of VideoGame/SamAndMaxFreelancePolice (on which he worked as a lead animator), Annable left the company to become the first creative director of Creator/TelltaleGames, a position he held for roughly a year.

In 2006, Annable moved to Portland, Oregon to work for Creator/Laika; his first role at the company was as a storyboard artist on WesternAnimation/Coraline. That same year, he began posting Grickle short cartoons to Website/YouTube.

Annable has continued his work with Laika through the present. He did storyboard art on WesternAnimation/ParaNorman before co-directing WesternAnimation/TheBoxtrolls, and then returned to his storyboard artist role for WesternAnimation/KuboAndTheTwoStrings.

He's done a fair bit of work outside of Laika too. Though he had left his official position at Telltale, Annable collaborated with them to produce the two Grickle-styled Puzzle Agent games, released in 2010 and 2011 respectively. He wrote for several issues of Creator/BongoComics' SpongeBob Comics between 2011 and 2015. And in 2018, he released the first book in his Peter & Ernesto series, a children's graphic novel about two sloth friends. A sequel is scheduled for 2019.
