Armin Shimerman (born November 5, 1949) is an American actor, voice actor and author. A veteran of genre television and respected character actor, Shimerman is perhaps best-known for playing the Ferengi bartender Quark in the television series ''Series/StarTrekDeepSpaceNine'', Principal Snyder in'' Series/BuffyTheVampireSlayer'' and Andrew Ryan in ''Videogame/{{BioShock}}''.
