This is the third installment of the ''Weapon X'' series, written by Greg Pak and Fred Van Lente with various artists such as Greg Land, Yilidray Cinar, Marc Borste, and Luca Pizzari, among others. This was one of the new on-going titles that came during [[Creator/MarvelComics Marvel's]] re-branding, ''ComicBook/ResurrXion'' and lasted 27 issues.

* AbusiveParents: Mystique with her son, Graydom, whom she abandoned & assassinated. Victor is worried after finding him in Hell, but Mystique just tells him to put Graydon back where he found him.

* AllAnimalsAreDomesticated: Kotik. He's initially hostile, but warms to Creed & Omega Red by the next chapter & acts like a kitten.
* AmicableExes: Mystique with Creed & Azazel, leads into WorkingWithTheEx.
** While disguised as Foreigner, she was contacting Creed to do jobs with her & they work fine together, despite him annoying her sometimes.
** She & Azazel are on good terms. He was even upset she made effort of posing as his assistant to spy on him but never spoke to him.
* ApologizesALot: Creed to Monet in chapter 24.
** He apologizes for the mess she's in & she tells him not to because it sounds weird coming from him. But he persists, saying he's serious & expresses his regret for not being there for her during her Emplate-curse.
** When they're captured by Sauron to be sacrificed, he apologizes to her again & she yells at him to stop apologizing & think of a plan or she'll shove him into the pit herself.

* BareYourMidriff: Lady Deathstrike is a common example, with her current & previous outfits.

** Beaten senseless by Hulk Cho while Warpath & Logan chat and ignore it.

** Being kidnapped & getting his life force drained by Omega Red.

* CallingTheOldManOut: Graydon does this to Victor when pointing out how he & Mystique abandoned him for being human.
* CharacterDeath: Sabretooth, Domino, Mystique, Deadpool, and Omega Red are killed in order to be sent to Hell. However Azazel has their bodies in suspended animation & can release them so their healing factors can revive them.
* CharacterizationMarchesOn: With Sabretooth. The first 6 chapters, Creed worked & got along with others, aside from [[SnarkToSnarkCombat snarking with Logan]]. When tracking the cyborgs, Creed agrees not to kill them, figured out how they were able to travel, and listened to Logan when he had a plan. He even plays Good Cop during an interrogation with Logan & freaks out when the scientist mysteriously dies. Moving to chapter 7, Creed becomes TheHeel and TheMillstone. He recklessly charges at Weapon H and is kicked across a state. After the beating, Logan comes up with a plan to stop Weapon H without lethal force. Creed objected, having already decided to kill Weapon H, prompting Logan to yell that he's been difficult & fighting him from the very beginning.
* ClarkKenting: Creed, in issue 22 where he's just wearing a suit & glasses, his alias being "Dick Steele."

** At one point, Deadpool wondered if they're gonna kiss & called them lovebirds shortly after.

* FriendsWithBenefits: Domino & Warpath. She even states he's not her boyfriend, but a hot guy she likes to play smashmouth with.

* HellSeeker: Everyone becomes this in chapter 25, though not for the standard reason. Stryker vows to return from the grave to kill them, so they all need to go to Hell & destroy him for good to prevent his continued attacks.
* TheHeart: Split between Logan & Warpath for the original team. In their absence, Domino sometimes tries to fulfill the role, but isn't too effective.

* IsThatWhatTheyreCallingItNow: Sabretooth says this regarding Warpath & Domino.

* TheLeader: Logan functioned as this for the original Weapon X team, being the one who started bringing them together. Sabretooth has taken over as of chapter 17, and plans to focus the team on mercenary jobs.

* TheMillstone: Sabretooth for the original team. They worked decently together for the most part, but Creed usually contrarily took issue with how things were done & caused trouble in his own pursuit of excitement.
* MoneyFetish: Domino's only motivation & interest has been money. Outside of her fling with Warpath, there hasn't been much else to her.
* MoralityPet: Kotik is a literal case with Creed & Omega Red caring for him. Now that she's back, Monet may be one for Creed.
* MrFanservice: Sabretooth is very muscular and has been shirtless many times. In one instance, his shirt [[ClothingDamage gets shot off of him]] and he spends the next two chapters without one.
* NominalHero: With Warpath & Logan gone, all of the current Weapon X-Force team fits here.

* OldFlame: Monet & Creed. Many assumed they had a SecretRelationship in Uncanny X-Men, but it's ambiguous. Here, Deathstrike follows that thought, calling Monet Creed's ex. Even though he gets defensive at the insinuations, the ShipTease very heavily implies clear lingering feelings, despite them not seeing each other in a few months to over a year.

* PetTheDog: Sabretooth, when he decides to save Omega Red after it becomes clear his current boss doesn't care about him. Also literally when he & Omega Red adopt Kotik.

* PleaseDontLeaveMe: The cover for [[https://s3.amazonaws.com/comicgeeks/comics/covers/large-5029691.jpg?1543261598 chapter 27]] gives off this vibe, as Creed unravels while Monet tries desperately to hold on to him.

* ReformedButNotTamed: Sabretooth is inverted, but still violent & kill-happy like his evil self. Azazel notes this is why he's not redeemed. The inversion has changed him but the evil in his soul is still present -and as such he's still a monster damned to Hell.

* ShesNotMyGirlfriend: Creed & Domino when it comes to Monet & Warpath respectively.
* ShipperOnDeck: It seems Creed & Monet have three shippers on board.
** '''Domino''' was going to quit the team until she hears from Yuriko that Monet is Creed's ex. Domino gushes & finds it adorable, so she stays to help save her. Later when Creed shyly tries to talk to Monet, Domino ruins the moment to gush loudly at him.

** Finally when Creed & Monet get to have a proper convo, Omega Red listens in with a coy grin on his face.

Creed is written as TheBrute, and has trouble hunting, not being able to use keyboards, and Logan commenting on his stupidity a few times. Despite the fact Sabretooth was a GeniusBruiser in the last Weapon X series.

After weeks of successful missions, they receive another to rescue [[ComicBook/MonetStCroix Monet St. Croix]], which is successful. However, they're drawn into battle against a ''{{Cult}}'' known as ''The Church of Human Potential'', with {{ComicBook/Deadpool}} joining their ranks. The group succeeds in bringing down the cult, but are left with one problem. William Stryker. Selling his soul to Hell has made him more powerful and now Weapon X-Force must face him one final time to prevent his continued return and attacks on them from the grave.

** Chapter sixteen's cover has Victor maiming Logan, which didn't happen in the book.
** Issue 24's cover shows all of the team, including Mystique, dead in a mass grave. They're not killed or sent to Hell in this issue & Mystique isn't even in the chapter.
