''Two-Gun Kid'' is a 1948 Western comic, initially published by Timely Comics and later by their successors Creator/MarvelComics.
Set in the old west, it stars the titular masked gunfighter.
The first version of the character is Clay Harder, who features in issues #1-59.
The second Two-Gun Kid, debuting in issue #60, is actually Matt Hawk, a lawyer who travelled out from the east and was secretly trained to shoot, fight and track by elderly gunfighter Ben Dancer.
After the switch to Hawk as protagonist, the previous Clay Harder issues are treated as an in-universe story that inspired him to take the name.
