For nearly twenty years now, Archie Comics has published the [[ComicBook/ArchieComicsSonicTheHedgehog comic adventures]] of one Franchise/SonicTheHedgehog. Likewise, they have had similar success bringing VideoGame/MegaMan, the Blue Bomber, to [[ComicBook/MegaMan the printed medium]]. Thus, it was only a matter of time before both titles, which are penned by Ian Flynn, came together in the form of a {{crossover}} --- the first VideoGame/CapcomVsWhatever crossover to be produced in a medium other than video games.
