Nominally the Emperor of Guylos, Rudolf is merely a child who ascended the throne prematurely due to the death of both of his parents and his grandfather.

* KarmaHoudini: Raven kills ''a lot'' of people and Zoids over the course of the show but by the finale he's allowed to go free. Sure he did help the heroes save the planet and has changed his outlook on life, but that doesn't really change the fact that for 90 percent of the show he was a huge {{Jerkass}} that caused the heroes no end of grief. He even gets a LoveInterest to take with him!

* KarmaHoudini: She never gets any sort of punishment for all she did under Hiltz. At the end of the show she gets to leave peacefully and live happily with Raven.

* MrFanservice: After the Timeskip, when he was training in the military. His military uniform has a rare male version of a BareYourMidriff cutout, exposing his abs and he gets at least one WalkingShirtlessScene to show he's now ripped.

A former soldier of the Empire that was dishonorably discharged and became a bandit as a result. Rosso is the leader of a group of bandits called the "Desert Arcobaleno Gang" and is desperately looking for a way to prove his worth to the Empire in order to retrieve his former position in the military. His gang serves as antagonists for Van's group early in the series before the conflict of the Empire and the Helic Republic come into play.

After being set up as a Patsy yet again for the Empire, Rosso is imprisoned but then later broken free by his gang who then decide to give up trying to rejoin the empire and to just kidnap the crown prince Rudolph for a huge ransom. Rosso and Viola end up bonding with Rudolph and protecting him from Prozen's assassination attempts. They then help him escape with Van when Raven comes hunting. Rosso reappears later in the season as one of flying aces of the Helic Republic, the [[RedBaron Red Masked Baron of Wings]] piloting a Stormsworder.

Rosso pilots several Zoids, starting with a Red Horn in his first appearances, then briefly an Iron Kong after busting out of jail and then his Storm Sworder for the rest of the series.

* AcePilot: He's the strongest pilot in his gang, but he best fits this trope while piloting a Storm Sworder.
* BigDamnHeroes: Pretty much every time he and Viola swoop in their Storm Sworders they're invoking this trope.
* DisneyDeath: He and Viola appear to be killed by Raven roughly halfway through ''Chaotic Century'', but they turn up fine later.
* AFatherToHisMen: Rosso's gang love him so much that they're more than willing to break him out of prison after taking the fall for them.
* HeelFaceTurn: Turns on the empire and becomes an ally to Van and the others after bonding with Rudolph.
* HeroicSacrifice: He and Viola give one for Rudolph by holding off Raven's Geno Saurer so that Rudolph and the others can get away.

* PaperThinDisguise: His Storm Sworder persona. To be fair, most people who go up against him wouldn't see him in person since he's flying around and his LargeHam tendencies mask his real personality completely, but one look at his outfit immediately gives away who the Baron is.
* RedBaron: The Red Masked Baron of Wings.
* SpannerInTheWorks: If Rosso's gang hadn't chased Van into the Zoid ruins at the start of the show, he never would have found Fiona and Zeke, never would have repaired the Shield Liger, which never would have been transformed into the Blade Liger and it would have never had defeated the Death Saurer.
** His plan to kidnap Rudolph ruins Prozen's assassination attempt on him.
* StarterVillain: His gang is the first major threat that Van and his friends face.

A former Imperial soldier and the second in command of Rosso's gang, Viola is a crackshot aerial plot that serves as another antagonist to Van and the others at the start of the series. Viola hails from the hidden village of Mt. Iselina which has remained neutral in the conflict between the Helic Republic and the Guylos Empire. Viola, however, was not satisfied with doing nothing but hiding in their village while a war waged on, so she left the village to join the Empire in order to make a difference and protect her younger sister Rosa.

At some point Viola also left the military, either of her own free will or through a dishonorably discharge like Rosso. Viola is fiercely devoted to Rosso and would do anything for him, including break him out of prison. After Rosso gives up on trying to get his old position in the military back, they decide to kidnap Prince Rudolph for a huge ransom, only to end up saving him from Prozen's assassination attempts instead and helping him escape with Van when Raven comes to kill him. After being saved by Captain Herman, Viola joins the Helic Republic as one of their Storm Sworder flying aces.

Viola only pilots aerial Zoids, her first being a red Redler and her second being a Storm Sworder.

An effeminate mercenary who aids Prozen's mercenaries in the plot to assassinate Crown Prince Rudolph; however, he's truly after the organoid Zeke. He's nicknamed ''The Fisherman'' due to tendency to luring his catch and watching them suffer; which he does so via poison. Though he was able to help obtain Rudolph's Imperial Ring, he wasn't able to finish the job, as he was defeated by Van's newly-evolved Blade Liger. Appears in both ''Chaotic Century'' and ''Guardian Force''.

* BewareTheSillyOnes: Make no mistake, behind his CampGay demeanor lies a lethal assassin.
* TheBusCameBack: He returns in Episode 43 of ''Guardian Force''.
* CampGay: One of the most effeminate characters in the series, and he also pilots a pink Guysack and a pink Saber Tiger (Stinger Special). He also blew a kiss to the mercenaries to taunt them when he first incapacitates them with poison gas. In addition, he orders milk from bars for beauty purposes.
* EvenEvilHasStandards: After escaping from jail with the help of the Trinity Ghost scientists (and bumping into the Crossbow Brothers in the process), he decides that being free would be meaningless if he simply allowed the world to be destroyed by Hiltz. Most likely he was killed off, but you gotta give him points for trying.
* LaserGuidedKarma: After his Saber Tiger was taken out by Van's Blade Liger, a ''cured and pissed-off'' Moonbay [[TalkToTheFist socks him as payback.]]
* PoisonedWeapons: His main specialty, which he uses to poison Moonbay and Irvine by spiking their soup.
* TheRedBaron: He's nicknamed ''The Fisherman'', and for good reason!
* UncertainDoom: In ''Guardian Force'' he and the Crossbow Brothers take a final stand against Hiltz and the Death Stinger, only to be on the receiving end of a Charged Particle Cannon Blast when the madman destroys the prison they were in. So it's most likely they were killed in their effort.
* WoundedGazelleGambit: He infiltrates the group by pretending to be attacked by Prozen's mercinaries, allowing Moonbay to rescue him. Only Irvine was suspicious.

* AttackAttackAttack: His primary strategy - which often costs him greatly due to his incompetence.
* BadBoss: He's willing to sacrifice his men just to get himself promoted. Example being that he had ordered Rosso and Viola to attack their forces in a Republican Pteras so that they could break a stalemate. However, Marcus reneged on his offer to let them rejoin the Imperial army, betraying them.
* FatalFlaw: Greed. Especially when it comes scheming to get a promotion, which was shown several times during his appearance.
** His hasty nature, combined with his forces' attempt to advance toward Cronos base result in the unit being taken out by a trap, caused by the Repulicans rigging the base to self-destruct.
** His final attempt to claim victory by taking over the Mt. Osa base would cost him his life, with the erupting volcano engulfing his Iron Kong as a result.
* HateSink: Cocky, stubborn, and power-hungry, this man never learns from his mistakes.
* NeverMyFault: His final words involve blaming Schubaltz for thinking he could steal his credit for taking over the Mt. Osa base. Boy was he wrong.
