* SixthRanger: In ''Fantastic Four'' Vol 5. #24, it's revealed that Bobby joined the Fantastic Four after a humiliating experience in the Danger Room and Johnny Storm raced off in a hot-headed huff over his popularity. Johnny refuses to believe Bobby was a member at all. It takes a few years and Bobby suddenly showing up to drop Franklin off for Johnny to admit he was scared of being replaced on the family.

* RichIdiotWithNoDayJob: A variation. Since the 1980s, he has no secret identity. He is a rich guy who acts as a full time hero. He is a CEO, but spends little time actually handling the company. He really has no day job.

** It was possible, but still uncertain if his moral fall will be put to a stop and return to the opposite direction in the future. Then he crossed the MoralEventHorizon by [[spoiler: murdering Wolverine, keeping his skull as a memento, and having him resurrected as a mindless, mind-controlled husk that he points at anyone he deems an 'enemy' of Krakoa, even if they just wrote a negative article about mutants]].

* LovableNerd: Before the Schism event, when he was portrayed as a genial character, his warmth towards his friends and allies was as infectious as his intellect was extraordinary.

This is particularly notable with Scott and Logan. The former who he began to resent after the Decimation and the latter who he fell out with during the Krakoan Age. Only time will tell if he makes a recovery from his moral fall and somehow (miraculously) rekindle these friendships in future books.

* HatedByAll: He wasn't this trope before, but by the time of the ComicBook/HellfireGala, his hypocrisy, smugness, and overall morally bankrupt actions have caught up to him and nobody likes or trusts him anymore. Even his longtime allies and friends and his X-Force teammates have had enough. Hell, even ComicBook/JeanGrey, who [[AllLovingHero has a kind word for practically everyone and formerly regarded Hank as a close, dear friend]], has told him where to get off.
