* NiceGuysFinishLast: He's shown to really care about [[spoiler: Blaire and is willing to wait until she is ready to give him her virginity. Too bad his [[AllGirlsWantBadboys not so nice best friend Adam]] already had sex with her behind his back. ''Twice''.]]

* AllLoveIsUnrequited: Is hinted to be in love with [[spoiler: Adam, and was especially devastated by his death. You can also see her cringing and crying when Blaire is describing her ''second'' encounter with Adam, as she clearly is bothered by the notion of her crush having sex with a different girl. ''Twice.'' And that's ''after'' he confessed that he tried to trade her life for theirs.]]

* TheAlcoholic: According to Blaire, he's frequently drunk. She theorizes that he’s this in the movie as well.

* CreepyUncle: Implicated, Blaire fumbles in sending a message to Mitch telling him that Laura was abused, perhaps sexually, by her uncle. However, she couldn't bring herself to outright say it and just settles for saying that she had problems in life.

* InformedAttribute: According to Ken, Laura was a bully herself, but the only evidence we see of that is a brief clip of her picking a fight with Val at the party (which she tried to apologize for). In fact, [[FreezeFrameBonus the news article about her suicide]] quotes her as saying she was sick of ''being'' bullied years earlier for an eating disorder, which led to a suicide attempt. [[spoiler:Ken doesn't have the moral high ground either, since he and his friends viciously cyberbullied her in return]].

* InvincibleVillain: The protagonists have no defense against her, and can’t even hurt her directly because she’s a ghost. She’ll intercept any attempt to call the police or outside help, makes it clear that she can and will kill anyone who tries to leave, has control over their technology, is basically watching their every move, and she can possess them at will. She effectively has them at their mercy and they only last so long by playing along with her whims. [[spoiler: And they’re all dead by the end of the movie.]]
