** While Series/UltramanTaiga and Z are start out as equally fresh and starting out Ultramen, their similarities end with Z being a disciple of Franchise/UltramanZero while Taiga is the son of Series/UltramanTaro. The tentative Z also proves to be much more inexperienced than Taiga in several ways despite being more soft-spoken and patient than the much more HotBlooded and eager Taiga. Also, while Taiga was clearly insecure and anxious about living up to the legacy of his father, Z, on the other hand, embraces the concept wholeheartedly and boldly follows in the footsteps of his mentor.

* SenpaiKouhai: Has this relationship with Yoko in STORAGE and to Riku as Ultras. It's also why he started calling Z "Z-san" once he hears how old he is.

* SenpaiKouhai: Has this relationship with Haruki, being the senpai to his kohai.

** It shares the backstory of Grigio Bone, being a extraterrestrial Kaiju that crashed into Earth before the events of the series.

* WeaponizedTeleportation: Is capable of firing a white liquid that teleports anything it hits to a pocket dimension. His plan involves [[WeatherManipulation seeding the atmosphere]] with this liquid by detonating a bomb full of it on a abandoned ferris wheel, causing a mass abduction of human bodies for his people when it rains as a result.

* WeaponSpecialization: The first two Barossas each show preference for a single category of weapons; the first amassed a large collection of swords, while the second prefers to use weapon salvaged from robot kaiju.

* AliensSpeakingEnglish: Like the second Barossa, he has no trouble communicating with Japanese.

** [[KungFuWizard Sigma Breastar]]: An game-only Ultra Fusion that utilizes Ultras strongly associated with Ultraman; Zoffy, Tiga, and Mebius. They provide Z with [[PlayingWithFire fire]] and [[AnIcePerson ice]] abilities mixed with Tiga's [[MultiformBalance ability to channel power and speed]].

* {{Expy}}: Like how Ultroid Zero is to Terranoid, Destrudos is to Zelganoid for being an artificial Ultra being hijacked by an alien being and bring about destruction to mankind, the very race it was supposed to protect.

* NinjaPirateZombieRobot: Destrudos lives and breathes on this trope. Its a composite of six monsters whose parts protruding from a robot to form a mixture of flesh and metal. Oh and its controlled by the Celebro-possesed Yoko, making it a case that it is a monster without a mind of its own, forcing Celebro to control it from Ultroid Zero's cockpit. Its also a {{Deconstruct|ed Trope}}ion when Yuka comments that the combination was too messy, so much that she can no longer find the cockpit where Celero-possessed Yoko piloted from.

* AnAxeToGrind: He wields the Galactron [=MK2=]'s Galactron Geweer while human-sized against Haruki.

* AmbigiousSituation: Even though he lives in the Land of Light, where Z actually ''comes'' from is still unknown, as it's heavily implied in the 8th voice drama that he doesn't originate from the place. The fact that he possesses several physical traits that are atypical for the residents of the Land of Light only adds questions.

* BadassBaritone: Z's grunts sounded very deep and intimidating. He still retains his tenor-sounding voice when he speaks.

* WeaponOfChoice: He has three that he can use depending on the situation.
** The Ultra Z Riser in its bigger mode allows him to use special attacks from scanning his medals.
** The Z Lance Arrow allows him to utilize fire and ice.
** Beliarok is a powerful TalkingWeapon that can only be used as Delta Rise Claw.

* WeaponOfChoice: As Galaxy Rising, he can summon the Z Riser as a bigger weapon in place of the Geed Claw.

* WeaponOfChoice: His Ultra Lance in general. In ''Ultraman Day 2020'', Z is required to display his skill with Jack's Ultra Lance, doing so to obtain his gratitude.

* FightingWithChucks: In his Alpha Edge form, Z can combine his dual sluggers into electrified nunchucks capable of delivering high-voltage, edged slaps on his enemies.

* CastingGag: His actor previously portrayed Lt. Koji Shinjo in ''Film/GodzillaVsSpaceGodzilla'', a {{Kaiju}} genre movie produced by Toho, who also gets to pilot the MOGERA HumongousMecha. Bako-san on the other hand is a man who helps in maintenance of STORAGE's mechas.

* MakeMyMonsterGrow: The Barossas have the ability to enlarge themselves, ''Franchise/SuperSentai'' monsters' style: The first one uses [[Series/{{Ultraman}} Dada]]'s shrink ray in reverse, and the second uses seeds from a [[Series/UltraQ Juran]].

* MakeMyMonsterGrow: Both Barossas have the ability to enlarge themselves, in the ''Franchise/SuperSentai'''''s'' monsters style: The first one uses [[Series/{{Ultraman}} Dada]]'s shrink ray in reverse, and the second uses seeds from a [[Series/UltraQ Juran]].

** [[LightningBruiser Delta Rise Claw]]: An Ultra Fusion that utilizes the ''Series/UltramanGeed'' Ultras in Zero Beyond, Geed, and Belial Atrocious. This gives Z the ability to summon an energy storm and is the only one capable of wielding the Beliarok.

* TalkingWeapon: Beliarok, a sword created from Geed's Belial Factor and the space needle embedded in [[Series/UltramanX Greeza]], can talk and wil refuse to work with Z unless he's given a reason to fight.

* MeaningfulName: Hebikura contains the kanji for Hebi, the Japanese for snake. It parallels with Juggler's AnimalMotif as a snake.

* MythologyGag: If his rival, Gai Kurenai was based on [[Series/{{Ultraseven}} Dan Moroboshi]] for being a wandering vagabond, Juggler, on the other hand as Shota Hebikura, is a villainous take of Dan's role as the [[Series/UltramanLeo captain of MAC]].

* BackForTheDead: The Ace Blade returns after decades of misuse... and was soon [[WreckedWeapon snapped in half]] by Baraba grabbing it with its sickle hand then slammed it with his mace hand.

* ShadowArchetype: Celebro is basically a second Juggler who had no one around him to be his moral compass, he even has most of the latter's worst traits in ''Orb'' dialed {{Up To Eleven}} -- right down from his HairTriggerTemper, lack of shame and poor impulse control, inability to understand anything that resembles kindness and compassion, and need for stimulation.

* UpToEleven: Its invisibility is enhanced to the point of even disguising its body temperature.

* OnlyTheChosenMayWield: The only form that Ultraman Z can wield with this weapon is the Delta Rise Claw, since it has Belial Atrocious' power added to the mix. In addition, the sentient weapon picks who's worthy of using him, and will switch owners based on his whims.

** To [[Series/UltramanRB Makoto Aizen]]. Both summon Kaiju using the power of Ultraman technology, perverted an Ultra's power for their own gain and both [[spoiler: are aliens that possessed a human as a host for their own ends]]. However, Makoto was the embodiment of EvilIsHammy whenever he was on screen, much unlike Celebro, who is ''extremely'' detached to practically anything he does to the point of seeming emotionless at any given time. Also, while Aizen transformed into an EvilKnockoff of his favorite Ultraman, Celebro transforms by fusing multiple past Kaiju.

* InspectorJavert: PlayedForDrama. While its justified that she was deceived by [[spoiler:Celebro-possessed]] Kuriyama into arresting STORAGE members, she tried to have the entire team member gunned down even if it means ignoring the global thread Destrudos.

The list of characters for ''Series/UltramanZ''. Although ''Series/UltraGalaxyFightTheAbsoluteConspiracy'' is a prequel to the aforementioned series, their character list goes [[Characters/UltraGalaxyFightTheAbsoluteConspiracy here]] to accommodate its [[LoadsAndLoadsOfCharacters growing cast members]].
